First Step Learning Academy

At First Step Learning Academy, we encourage our after schoolers to read aloud to the class daily. They started this routine during summer camp and it was too good to stop!

📚Reading is definitely fundamental!

Dear Parents,

We’re excited to announce that starting next week, we will be moving all of our communication, pictures, and forms to a new app called Playground. 🎉 This means we will no longer be using Class Dojo.

With Playground, you’ll be able to receive updates, see photos, and complete forms digitally in one easy place. To get started, please scan the QR code or click the link below to sign up.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of filling out forms again, but moving forward everything will be digital no more paper! ✨

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we make this transition to better serve you and your children. 💙

Easter Egg Hunt Update!

We’re excited to announce that our Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 3 PM, proudly sponsored by Georgia Banking Company!

A representative from Georgia Banking Company will be present to share information about their various financial account options.

We look forward to seeing you there for some fun and financial literacy!

The Match It! - Who Am I? Game!

Jessie and Camilla were able to recognize many different types of people, such as a soldier, a clown, and a pilot, while playing this game. This activity not only helped them improve their memory skills, but also expanded their knowledge and understanding of different professions.

*This game provided a great opportunity for learning and growth.

Khalari and Brodie picked ART during center time! This activity allowed them to express their creativity and practice their fine motor skills. They also learned about colors and how to mix them to create new colors!

In honor of Black History Month we’re learning about Garret Morgan! The children enjoyed creating Traffic Lights invented by Garret Morgan. We also talked about what are Traffic Lights used for and what color tells you to Stop, Slow down and Go!

Alphabet BINGO! This is a fun way to see who can identify the letters.

In preparation for inclement weather, the center will be closing at 12pm tomorrow to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and families. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Please stay safe and warm during the storm. ❤️

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our staff and families is our top priority. We will resume our regular schedule Wednesday. Thank you for your understanding.
