Y’all may be feeling the beginnings of fall but it blew into the shop a couple weeks ago for us in the form of the sweetest cat we’ve ever met!

She’s as sweet as her name, Tiramisu (we call her “Tisu” for short). She’s a beautiful black, orange, and white tortie and an extreme cuddle bug. She loves pets, being cuddled, and acknowledged. She’s become the shop’s top quality control agent checking every vase, bouquet, and post we make. She’s even learning some skills with the Cricut.

She is cat, dog, and kid friendly. She lets Dolla Bill know who the lady in charge is 💅🏻 and she loves a big, fluffy dog to cuddle up to. She is Marli approved! She greets our customers with her soft meows and purrs and is such a friendly and social girl.

She is completely vetted. Spayed, up to date on vaccines, and no health issues! Her adoption fee is $100 through Friends of Ferals! Please visit their website to submit an application. We are more than happy to answer any questions as her current foster.

Y’all come by and say hello to our new little flower queen and maybe consider giving her a good home! She is truly one of the most wonderful cats we’ve ever beheld ❤️

Dolla Bill is hiring for at least 1-2 employees at Wildflower!

The bare minimum:
-Must be 18+
-Must be available Tuesday-Saturday starting at 10AM. We do work rotating Saturdays! You MUST be available for opening shift. You MUST work at least a 4 hour shift.
-Must have transportation and a driver’s license.
-Must love cats and dogs. This does include scooping a litter box and other associated “ew gross” duties that come along with pets.
-Must possess positive attitude, flexibility, and attention to detail.
-Must be able to work independently and use common sense and critical thinking skills to work on their own with limited guidance.
-Must have A+ customer service skills. Kindness is our thing.
-Must be able to lift 50lbs and go outside to wash buckets.
-Ability to clean, sweep, and mop. Ability to scrub a toilet. Ability to correctly wash dishes (vases).
-Must not drink or do drugs on the job.

What we’d love to have:
-Someone with floral experience.
-Someone who has knowledge of plants, flowers, and gardening.
-Someone who is very creative and thinks outside the box.
-Someone who can operate a Cricut and Square POS.
-Someone with a good heart ready to serve their community at our various charitable events.
-Someone who is okay with a boss who is sweet but scattered. Someone with a sense of humor.
-Someone who is ready to be part of a work family. Someone who WANTS to be here and work their way up and learn.

Dolla Bill will be collecting resumes and applications in PERSON. You MUST come in to give us a firm hand shake and fill out an application.

Please do not DM us asking for a job - show up and actually want it. Make effort. Show up. We are old school. We are mom and pop - we want someone we are comfortable trusting to help operate this business that is our heart and soul.

Starting pay is $10/hr but negotiable with experience.

Hi guys!

Real talk. We gotta close at 2pm today. It’s just me. One person here. No one can come to work. My hands are tied. The phones are ringing. Dm’s are ringing. Emails pinging.

We have a wedding show today we have to participate in. I have no one to run the store front. I have to close. I will have the phone but please be patient.

I’m a floral designer. I am a wife. I am a daughter. An aunt. A granddaughter. Pet mom. And everyone needs me right now. I have sick family members. I have sick pets. I feel like the little kid with my fingers in the dam.

A lot of you are upset about books being limited - this is why. I refuse to sacrifice quality of what comes from this shop over taking quantity. If you’re sitting in the DM’s I am getting to you, I promise. Between meetings, orders, and everything else I am battling alone - I am doing my best - but there is only one Katie.

And I need people to show up. At this point we’re hiring. At least for one maybe two more folks. You have to show up. I need you to have transportation. You MUST be available Tuesday-Friday at 10am. If you know you can’t work or the bare minimum of the requirements aren’t met…please do not apply. This job is not “playing with flowers”. It is customer service, it is washing buckets, it is answering the phone, it is working your way up to the opportunity to be taught. You have to show up. That is the bottom line.

Homecoming friends!

This is just a reminder to PLEASE pay your invoices. Even if you are planning to pay in cash, they must be paid within 48 hours. Homecoming mums are highly custom items and we need to be paid in full before beginning work!

We have sent reminders to anyone who was invoiced last week and we're giving until tomorrow at 6PM for invoices to be paid before we start releasing spots on the books for folks on our wait list.

Nederland - books are CLOSED. You will have to shop what we have in store on the rack unless we finish any earlier with our stack. If we do - we'll start pulling folks off the wait list and/or posting here to let y'all know what we have available!

PNG - We have about 5 spots left for orders $100 and over and about 10 spots left for smaller mums! Once again - if we get that order stack worked down - we'll post our availability.

Please do not delay on getting these orders in. We are missing our heart and soul of the mum operation out here and we are not able to operate in the capacity that we have in previous years!

This week’s “Katie’s Choice” is SOLD so we’re posting a little early!

We went a little dark and moody for this week’s design which features black roses, hellebores, cosmos, scabiosa pods, leucadendron, calycina heather, pennycress, celosia, and spirea.

Black roses don’t have to be “gothic” or completely polarizing in an arrangement. They can give a very unique and different look to someone who loves muted tones!

We’re teaming up with Friends of Ferals to help some very deserving kitties in our community! 🐱💙

We’ll be collecting cat food + cat litter at Burkett’s. Any brand is welcome!

And on Friday, October 16, come get your watch battery replaced at Burkett’s! All proceeds from watch battery services that day will benefit Friends of Ferals and help them care for and re-home cats in our community.

So bring in a bag of food, litter, or your watch that needs a fresh battery. Every little bit helps! 💙
