This Nor'easter just won't go away! With so much wind and rain and now thunderstorms in the forecast for Sunday, we have cancelled tomorrow's (September 27th) River Mission service and dinner. If you need to contact us, 201-677-2299.

☀️🌡️ Bergen County has opened emergency Cooling Centers to help residents stay safe as the heat index reaches the 90s. Centers will operate beginning today, Thursday, August 6, through Tuesday, August 11, from 9 AM to 6 PM.

🐈️ 🐩 The cooling center at One Bergen County Plaza is pet‑friendly (all pets must be crated or leashed).

🚐 Those in need of transportation to a County cooling center may call the Division of Community Transportation at 201‑394‑2882.

Residents are encouraged to check their local municipal cooling centers before traveling to a County facility.

Tonight's concert at Overpeck County Park has been rescheduled for Wednesday, August 12th.

The Independence Day celebration at Overpeck Park July 4th has been changed because of the extreme heat. Daytime activities have been cancelled. Festivities begin at 6pm.

Those in need of transportation to a County cooling center may call the Division of Community Transportation at 201‑394‑2882. The cooling center at One Bergen County Plaza is pet‑friendly (all pets must be crated or leashed).

To help residents beat the heat, the Bergen County Parks Department is extending swimming hours at Darlington Lake to 10 AM – 7 PM. Families can also cool off at the Van Saun County Park Splash Pad in Paramus.
