We’re excited to continue to share all the exciting work that Centenary University Equine Studies Department’s therapeutic horsemanship students are doing this summer!
Rising senior Mary Padavan has been teaching and helping with program at equinetherapyofnj since May!
Mary says: “I teach therapeutic riding lessons and ground lessons to kids and adults of all ages. I love putting my skills to use and seeing the impact horses have on each individual as well as the progress each individual makes with the horses.”
Keep up the great work, Mary! We appreciate all your hard work for TRAC this summer, too! Your intuitiveness and kindness with both humans and horses is much admired! ❤️

We are proud and excited to share that TRAC has been recognized as an EQUUS Foundation 2026 Guardian! The purpose of the Guardians program is to encourage equine organizations to be transparent and accountable to the public through the disclosure of their equine care and use practices. Thanks to the awesome care of our veterinary and barn team, TRAC's horses and participants shine! We are glad that EQUUS Foundation sees it too!

TRAC campers, volunteers, and some pool noodle horses enjoyed a “college style” lecture on horse gaits with Professor Brittle today. Everyone asked great questions… and wanted to know how to canter 😳😂

We love this post about Centenary University Equine Studies Department student Noelle Telep (‘28) and can’t wait to have Noelle photograph our TRAC camp horse show tomorrow!
Centenary isn’t just defined by our amazing academics- it’s defined by community.
Our students have a wide range of opportunities to build their chosen family. Noelle Telep (28') is one of the captains of our Intercollegiate Dressage Team, strongly involved in the Equine department, and a Work-Study student in University Advancement. “The people I’ve met through Centenary are what I’ll remember in 15 years, not the classes and exams. Between my team, classmates, roommates, and more- I’ve been able to build a strong support system that will last beyond my time here”, she says.
