Gunhild Carling is coming to Centenary!

Centenary Stage Company kicks off its 2026/27 season with an electrifying evening of jazz, swing, funk, comedy, and vaudeville featuring internationally acclaimed Swedish performer Gunhild Carling.

Known as Sweden’s “Queen of Swing, Jazz, and Vaudeville,” Carling is a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, and entertainer who has captivated audiences around the world. From trombone and trumpet to piano, ukulele, harmonica, and even bagpipes, her performances are anything but ordinary.

Designed for riders in grades 6-12, this unique weekend features two specialized clinics:

December 12 | Collegiate Recruiting Boot Camp
Learn what coaches are looking for, receive a personalized riding evaluation, build your recruiting profile, explore college options, and hear directly from experienced collegiate coaches about admissions, scholarships, and the recruiting process.

December 13 | Hunter Equitation Boot Camp
Ride with top coaches and gain a competitive edge during an exclusive "Judge's Perspective" seminar led by a USEF judge. Learn how your rounds are evaluated and what it takes to earn top scores.

Ride one day or both. Come as an individual, with your barn, or alongside your IEA team. Space is limited, and ETS Boot Camp Clinics fill quickly.

We’re excited to continue to share all the exciting work that Centenary University Equine Studies Department’s therapeutic horsemanship students are doing this summer!

Rising senior Mary Padavan has been teaching and helping with program at equinetherapyofnj since May!

Mary says: “I teach therapeutic riding lessons and ground lessons to kids and adults of all ages. I love putting my skills to use and seeing the impact horses have on each individual as well as the progress each individual makes with the horses.”

Keep up the great work, Mary! We appreciate all your hard work for TRAC this summer, too! Your intuitiveness and kindness with both humans and horses is much admired! ❤️
