It's Giving Day at Southeastern, and you know I love my Honors Program! It has been THE absolute joy of my time at Southeastern to work with students who are so excited about their studies. They research, they share, and they are involved – taking leadership positions on campus in everything from departmental organizations to the SGA. They inspire and motivate everyone around them.

I'm giving to the Honors Program to help them travel and present their research in the spring. We have three groups who will represent Southeastern on a state, regional and national level. Giving to the Honors Program means these students will not have to come out of pocket to represent our beautiful university. These experiences allow them advantages when they apply for graduate or professional schools, and they gain unbelievable confidence.

Please consider giving to your Southeastern Louisiana University Honors Program. We have almost 1,300 students in the program, and it's always my goal to make sure each of them have an individual experience. Thank you!

We at Southeastern’s Honors Program are proud to congratulate one of our top seniors, Folorunsho Kukoyi, for receiving a $1500 scholarship from the Tangipahoa Professional Women’s Organization!

Folorunsho is a senior majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She serves as one of our tutors in the Tinsley Learning Center and plans to attend medical school upon graduation!

She’s described as very professional in her work and is seen as “the embodiment of teamwork and compassion at the Tinsley Learning Center” by her peers.

Congratulations to 2026 Senior Honors Diploma Recipient Isabelle Costner!

Isabelle is from Madisonville, Louisiana. She is a Marketing major and has been actively involved in several organizations during her college career, including the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Honors Student Association (HSA), and Project Hope. Throughout her academic journey, she has demonstrated strong dedication and discipline, with her most notable accomplishment being maintaining all A’s this semester while successfully managing a rigorous course load of eight classes. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a career in marketing, with a focus on understanding consumer behavior and digital media influence. Under the direction of Dr. Juliana White and Dr. Marcy Fluitt, she completed her senior honors thesis, “The Influence of TikTok and Social Media Persuasion Techniques on Consumptive Patterns and Practices.”
