Our mission is to rescue & rehabilitate farm animals in need, finding them loving and permanent homes
In May, Horse Tree Animal Rescue welcomed 10 female sheep from a neighboring county animal shelter after they were confiscated in a cruelty investigation.
They had been living without adequate food, water, or shelter, and every one of the females was pregnant. We knew we couldn’t let them give birth in the stress of a shelter, so we opened our gates and gave them a safe place to heal.
Today, they’re healthier, beginning to trust people again, and officially in our care while we search for the loving homes they deserve.
Their babies could arrive any day now, and because of your support, they’ll enter the world knowing safety instead of suffering.

Meet Atlas!! Atlas is one of our newest arrivals. He came from our local shelter as a stray that was never claimed. Atlas is a very sweet gelding with really unique markings on his legs and face. We think he is around 10yrs old but will have that confirmed next week when he has his coggins pulled. Atlas is 16.1h tall and we think he is a Warmblood. He is a fancy mover and with some weight, should make a really great horse for someone.
Meet Randy! We picked up Randy a little over a week ago from our local animal shelter. He is such a goofball and loves people. He is available for adoption to a great home. Us today when we noticed one of the ducks was missing 👀 we aren’t surprised though because our ducks can be very mischievous 🦆😏

Meet Cowboy. Cowboy is a mini Zebu steer (castrated male). He is being offered for adoption to the right family. Cowboy is a good boy and enjoys being groomed, he can be protective of his goats and gets pushy if you touch his horns. This doesn’t make him safe for us to have around the farm with volunteers and children. He is a beautiful boy and loves treats. He really needs a home that has experience with cows/bulls or large animals. He is great with other animals and shares his pasture with goats, sheep, potbellied pigs and a LSG dog.
