Madison Avenue: A Mysterious Dame

She appeared one evening on Madison Avenue as though she had stepped out of another time.

No one knew her name. No one ever saw her arrive. She simply moved through the city wrapped in black, her face hidden beneath an enormous hat, revealing only a flash of porcelain skin and a perfectly painted red mouth.

People noticed her, of course. How could they not?

But she never seemed interested in being seen.

The turquoise and green of the city swirled around her—storefronts, traffic, money, fashion, noise—yet she remained perfectly composed. Untouchable. One hand rested against her chest as if protecting a secret she had carried for years.

Perhaps she was wealthy. Perhaps she had lost everything. Perhaps she was meeting a lover three blocks away.

Or perhaps she simply understood something the rest of us had forgotten:

Mystery is sometimes more seductive than being known.

Agnes and the museum of art is an intriguing children's adventure book filled with anticipation, surprises, fun and exciting new ventures.

We follow Agnes who was awaiting Granny Zan to take her to a garden party in Central Park but she got sick. Then Agnes is rushed to The Museum of Art. But Agnes finds herself bored.

But soon things were about to change. She along with Mr. Filbert, her stuffed rabbit was about to save the paintings in a most adventurous way.

This is such an amazing book that explores the elements of surprises and adventures together in a perfect sync. The story has a sense of humour and fun which is exciting to see unraveled. Agnes is a sweet , unique character who wanted to help relieve the painting's boredom in a fascinating manner. I loved where Sal is utterly confused with the ruckus and Agnes didn't even have an inkling of any sort. It was an absolute delight reading this fun book.

I'd recommend this book as a perfect bedtime story. With beautiful illustrations and worthy morals, this book has all the good reasons to read it.
