Our Cub Scout Resident Camp at the June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation is Nationally Accredited by Scouting America!

Our Camp Leadership Series continued with a visit from Major Ulrick Brice of The Connecticut National Guard. Major Brice met with Senior Patrol Leaders, Counselors-In-Training, and some members of the Camp Staff at the June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation. In addition, he served as the honored guest during the Week 6 Closing Ceremony and Pass-in-Review.

Major Brice has held many roles over his 28-year career in the U.S. Army. He is currently the Commander of the 6th Recruiting and Retention Battalion for the CTANG. As a fun fact, he was domestically deployed in 2017 to the Summit Bechtel Reserve in support of the Nat Jamboree

Ellington Boy Scouts Troop 96 at the June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation!

⚜️This past week the Cub Scouts from Pack 480, Woodbury, had a wild adventure filled with BB guns popping, arrows flying, and splashes echoing from lake swimming! 🌊 Imagine buddy checks turning into secret missions, where laughter and friendly competition abound. Fishing rods in hand, they cast their lines into the shimmering water of Lake Kenoshia, sharing stories and giggles with friends who feel like family.

Bug bites? Just nature’s way of reminding us we’re having a blast! 🦟 And let’s not forget the treasure trove of treats at the trading post—every snack a delightful surprise! 🎉

A huge shoutout to Mattatuck Scout Reservation for an unforgettable week of joy and adventure! 🏕️ If only there was a Cub Scout resident program here, it would be the cherry on top of this summer sundae! 🍒

As our final day of the summer season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible staff who made it all possible.

Behind every adventure, laugh, friendship, challenge, and unforgettable camp memory was a team of people who showed up ready to give their energy, creativity, patience, and heart to our campers.

To our Summer 2026 staff: thank you. Thank you for the early mornings, the long days, the silly moments, the helping hands, and all the little things you did that made a big difference. We are so grateful for the community you created this summer.

And to all of our Scouts and families—thank you for sharing your summer with us and trusting us to be part of these memories.
