Weekend racing recap from KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~

Friday
JR 2: Heat started 3rd and finished 3rd. Feature started 5th and finished 5th. Had some throttle issues but we got it fixed for Saturday.
JR 3: Heat started 3rd and finished 3rd. Feature started 5th and finished 6th. Not quite the night we were hoping for.

Saturday
Had the privilege of driving with the Texas Flag for the National Anthem alongside Maddox in the Taco Casa #57 kart!
JR 2: Heat started 3rd but DNF’d after somehow running out of fuel. That put me in 11th for the feature. With everything fixed, I charged from the back and made a pass on the last lap to finish 2nd! While not a win, it was a big comeback for us.
JR 3: Heat started 5th and finished 5th. Feature started 5th and finished 2nd after a great battle with Maddox!

Thanks to all our sponsors for making it possible and thanks to PC Motorworks for the opportunity to race the JR 3 kart.

Great weekend at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~! Big thanks to PC Motorworks for hooking me up with a kart in JR 3 and putting in the hard work to get it ready for this weekend.

Friday
JR 2: Started 4th in the heat and drove all the way up to 1st, which put me on pole for the feature where I led every lap for the win!
JR 3: Started 3rd in the heat and finished 4th. In the feature, I started 5th but had contact and DNF’d. Didn’t want to risk damaging the new kart or motor on its first night out.

Saturday
Shannon Adams was there to cheer me on! I drew really well and started 2nd in the JR 2 heat and 1st in the JR 3 heat.
JR 2: Won the heat again and started on pole for the feature. Led green flag to checkered to sweep the weekend in JR 2! 🔥
JR 3: Started 1st in the heat but dropped back to 3rd. In the feature I started 3rd, and was able to take the 3rd spot back from Maddox after he unfortunately spun on the last lap.

We’re going to keep the momentum rolling in JR 2 and keep dialing in the new JR 3 kart.

Liberty Showdown Weekend Recap — Saturday & Sunday KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~

Despite a rain delay on Sunday, we were able to get both days in. This weekend was tough though. It was my first time racing since hearing about Kyle Busch. That was definitely affecting me emotionally and mentally.

Saturday
JR 2: Started 5th in the heat and was moving forward when I got clipped, flipped, but kept going and finished 7th. In the feature I started 7th but worked my way all the way up to 2nd… only to get clipped and spun again. Still managed to salvage a 4th place finish.
JR 3: Had a rough night. Started 5th, finished 7th in the heat and worked up to 5th in the feature after some good adjustments.

Sunday
JR 2: Started 2nd in the heat, took the lead early and won! That put us on pole for the feature where I led every lap for the win!
JR 3: Started 5th in the heat and worked up to 3rd with some fast laps. Started 3rd in the feature but got collected in a pile-up on the initial start, lost the air filter, and had a DNF.

It was a challenging weekend, but proud to end it with a win in JR 2.

Today is an unbelievably sad day.

Kyle Busch has been my favorite driver for as long as I can remember. The very first race I ever attended was Kyle winning at Texas in the Twix car.

He’s the reason my go-kart is wrapped in M&Ms and why I race with the number 8.

Thank you for all the memories, Kyle. You’ll always be my hero. Rest in peace.

Another weekend racing at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~! Friday it was just Mom and me since Mark Adams (Dad) was racing his stock car at Boyd Raceway's opening night. Big thanks to Dad for getting everything set up and to Mom for being there so I could race!

Friday
The track was super greasy from the rain earlier — it was really slick out there.
JR 2: Started 1st and won the heat. Started 3rd in the feature and battled hard with the fast #54 but finished 2nd on the podium. Congrats to Colby Lane Racing!
JR 3: Back in the PC Motorworks #57 Taco Casa kart thanks to Paul Crafton! Started 6th in the heat and worked up to 3rd. Started on pole in the feature but Grayson White got the early lead, and I ended up taking 2nd.

Saturday
JR 2: Started 3rd in the heat and won. Started on pole in the feature and led green to checkers for the win!
JR 3: Back in the #8 M&Ms kart. Started 8th in the heat and got up to 6th. Started 4th in the feature and ended up with another 2nd place finish!

Just had to hop in the Taco Casa Racing sprint car for a seat check. Maybe one day I’ll be racing one of these!

Friday, we were back at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ for another night racing JR 2 and JR 3. Grandpa Scott Adams was here to watch!

JR 2: The streak finally came to an end. I started 2nd in the heat and got out to a dominating 1st place win! In the feature, I started outside pole but just couldn’t get by the fast #54, and finished 2nd on the podium. Congrats to Colby Lane Racing for bringing home the win! Heartbreaking to end the streak, but it’s just more motivation to come back better next time!
JR 3: Back in the ole yellow M&Ms kart. Just didn’t have the speed Friday night, but still managed to pull out a solid 3rd place finish.

Saturday: Thanks to Paul Crafton, I got to hot lap the PC Motorworks #57 JR 3 (flyin’ around the track again!) and raced my JR 2 heat, where I went from 4th to 1st! Bad weather and a blown transformer ended the night early.

🏎️ Official start of the KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ race season this weekend! Had trouble with our JR 2 motor so had to borrow a backup from the Zelazny crew (huge THANK YOU!) Despite the motor change, this kart was still rocket fast.

Friday
JR 2: Finished 2nd in the heat then had another win in the feature!
JR 3: The kart wasn’t as great. There were only 4 of us and I finished 4th in both the heat and the feature. We'll make some adjustments and get back in it next time.

Saturday
Thanks Shane Ellis and Isla for coming out to watch despite the rain!
JR 2: Added to my streak — bringing home my 11th straight JR 2 win! 🔥
JR 3: I had the cool opportunity to race the PC Motorworks Charger Racing Outlaw Kart. This kart is FAST and so easy to drive — it handles amazing. I put down some serious fast laps all night and took home another 1st place in JR 3! Thanks again PC Motorworks!!

🏎️ Cold weather didn’t stop us at the Short Track Shootout at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~! We brought home two wins! 🏆

JR 2:
Heat 1: Started 2nd, finished 1st
Heat 2: Started 4th, finished 2nd
Feature: Started 2nd and took the win! The kart was crazy fast.

JR 3:
Heat 1: Started 2nd, finished 3rd while figuring out the track and setup
Heat 2: Started 4th, finished 1st after Dad got the setup dialed in and some unlucky DNFs for my friends in the 57 and 12T
Feature: Started on pole and won! Bennett in the 57 Taco Casa kart was fast and coming strong, but I managed to hold him off for the win.

I led every lap in both the JR 2 and JR 3 features! That makes 8 feature wins in a row in JR 2 and hopefully the start of a new streak in JR 3! 🔥

Proud of the eagle trophies — they’re really cool! 🦅

JR 3 videos are attached here because they’re not up on YouTube yet.

I raced JR 2 and JR 3 at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ on Saturday, and it turned into an awesome night!

For JR 3, I had a great draw and started on the pole for the heat. For JR 2, I didn’t draw as well and had to start 7th in the heat.

JR 2 Heat: Started 7th and drove up to 2nd.
JR 3 Heat: Started on the pole and held on to win with a super fast Grayson White right behind me.

Those finishes put me on the pole for both JR 2 and JR 3 features.

JR 2 Feature: I led every lap, caught lap traffic, but kept it smooth to bring home 1st, keeping my streak alive at 7 feature wins!

JR 3 Feature: I got a great first start, but a caution on lap one brought out a restart. On the restart, Grayson got by me and I fell back to 2nd. We pulled away from the rest of the field—he was flying. When we got to lap traffic, Grayson had contact with a lapped kart, which put me back in the lead. We finished it off with a green–white–checkered and I got my first win in JR 3!

After the races we ran a King of the Hill, and I won an awesome trophy! It was a great night, and I can’t wait for the official start of race season in a few weeks. We’re going to keep making the kart better and try to keep this winning streak going.

Special thanks to my dad, Mark Adams, for all his hard work getting the go karts ready and in winning condition. Happy birthday to him today, too! And a big thanks to Mike, Shane, and Isla for coming out to watch and cheer me on.
