Zips Car Wash

The ZIPS Car Wash Hero Essay Contest continues to remind us that some of the most meaningful stories come from the way students see the people around them.

This year, students were invited to write about the heroes who impact their lives through everyday acts of strength, sacrifice, kindness, and encouragement. The result was a collection of thoughtful essays celebrating parents, teachers, mentors, and community leaders who make a lasting difference.

Among this year’s winners were Alex, Jacob, Iker, and Andres from Fletcher Elementary, whose essays stood out for the heartfelt way they honored the people who inspire them most.

Congratulations to all of our student winners and the heroes behind their stories.

Big ideas. Real impact. 💙

Through the ZIPS Car Wash Hero Essay Contest, students shared stories about the people who show up for them every day—quietly, consistently, and without recognition. From parents to teachers to community heroes, these essays reminded us that everyday acts of kindness leave the biggest mark.

One of this year’s standout winners, Elivia Covington of St. James Intermediate School in Myrtle Beach, SC, wrote a heartfelt essay about her mother. She described her as her constant source of strength and support—someone who shows up no matter what, balancing long days with unwavering care for her family.

Elivia is one of several student winners recognized across participating schools, each sharing a unique story of the people who inspire them most.

“Reviewing the student hero essay submissions was both rewarding and inspiring. While so many students impressed us, our winners were exceptional. We are sincerely grateful to all who participated and shared their voices with us.” – Sara White, Director of Field Marketing

Even on your busiest days, a clean car makes you feel pulled together.
Like you’ve got this—because you do.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about how you feel moving forward.

This isn’t a car wash. It’s a confidence boost.

Strong teams are built after hours, too.

Recently, Todd Matlock (MT), Kevin Crocker (MT), and Brent Pittari, Training Manager, have been leading after-hours maintenance training sessions for our Site Managers in the DFW area—investing extra time to ensure our teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge to operate at a higher level.

Our COO, Frank Ragan, attended a session on February 12 and shared this feedback:
“Maintenance Training Done Right in DFW. Todd, Kevin, and Brent—thank you for arranging and leading last night’s after-hours maintenance training! I found the content relevant and engaging, and I learned some things for sure. You inspired others with the thoughtfulness and ex*****on here. Great job!”

We’re proud of leaders who go beyond their day-to-day responsibilities to elevate those around them. Investing in development like this strengthens our teams, improves ex*****on in the field, and ultimately creates a better experience for our customers.

Great work to everyone involved.

Leadership starts in the field.
In his first 30 days with ZIPS, our new COO, Frank Ragan, has been working shoulder to shoulder with site teams across Texas—experiencing Operations from the perspective of a CSA, Site Manager, District Manager, and Operations Director.

By immersing himself directly in day-to-day operations, Frank is building his understanding from the ground up and reinforcing what matters most at ZIPS: supporting the teams who serve our customers every day.
“A very big THANK YOU to all of the sites and leaders in Texas who have supported my immersion in Ops over the last 30 days!” said Frank.

We’re excited to have a leader who prioritizes listening, learning, and leading alongside our teams.

Welcome to the field, Frank—and thank you to our Texas teams for showing what ZIPS Operations is all about.

A clean car has a way of putting you back in the driver’s seat.
Focused. Grounded. Ready to take on the day.

Small wins build big confidence.

This isn’t a car wash. It’s a confidence boost.

Love was in the air—and at the car wash—this Valentine’s weekend. 🌹

On Friday and Saturday, the teams at two of our sites in McKinney, Texas, had the chance to hand out roses to customers as a small thank-you for choosing ZIPS. It was a simple way to show how much we appreciate the people who trust us to care for their vehicles every day.

Moments like these remind us that we’re not just about clean cars—we’re about great teams, great customers, and being part of the communities we serve. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and made the weekend special.

More cars in the driveway doesn’t have to mean higher car wash costs.

With the ZIPS Unlimited® Family Plan, you can add multiple vehicles and save—so everyone can enjoy clean cars and the convenience of washing every day.

Clean cars, lower prices, and one less thing to worry about. Learn more and start saving today.

Happy Galentine’s Day from ZIPS 💖

Today we’re celebrating the amazing women across our teams and throughout the car wash industry who show up every day, support each other, and help make our communities shine.

We loved spending time with so many inspiring women at the Women in Carwash Conference this year and are grateful to be part of such a supportive, encouraging community.

Here’s to strong women, great teammates, and lifting each other up—today and every day.
