Imagine being able to say, “I remember the day Roy Rogers came to Hemet!” 🤠 On March 7, 1940, Roy visited Hemet right here at the Historic Hemet Theatre, for a benefit supporting the Finnish Relief Fund, which provided aid to Finnish families during the Winter War. Nearly nine decades later, that day is still part of Hemet’s story. ❤️ See it on page 35 of the 1940s issue of Box Office Magazine: https://archive.org/details/boxofficejanmar136unse/page/n1121/mode/2up
