Today’s summer storytime featured some very special visitors—Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story! Families enjoyed a fun storytime with appearances from everyone's favorite space ranger and cowboy before sticking around for photos and meet-and-greets afterward.

Couldn't make it this morning? Buzz and Woody will be back tonight at 5PM with an encore storytime at 6PM!

Don't forget! Waco Mammoth will be back at the library for an evening presentation of Fossils & More.

Explore the fascinating world and animals of the Ice Age as you learn about prehistoric Texas. Perfect for curious minds of all ages!

Are you enjoying the 2026 Summer Reading Program at the library? We want to give a quick thank you to H-E-B and Texas Library Association for helping us bring our special events, activities, and prizes to our community. We are almost to the 20-day mark, so let's keep reading!

TLA's H-E-B Summer at the Library program is supported through donations made during the H-E-B Summer Checkstand Campaign. Since 2024, the partnership has supported summer reading programs and initiatives at libraries across Texas. This year, 104 grants totaling $326,350 were awarded to Texas libraries -- including Hewitt Public Library!

Today we traveled back to the Ice Age with Waco Mammoth National Monument! Visitors got to see and touch replicas of specimens up close, giving everyone a hands-on look at life thousands of years ago.

Missed today's program? Waco Mammoth will be back Thursday, June 18 at 6pm!

Thank you to all of the authors who participated in our Local Author Fair and to everyone who stopped by! Visitors had the opportunity to meet talented authors from the community, explore books across a variety of genres, and participate in a bookbinding art activity.
