Jefferson County Library - Genealogy

To celebrate Constitution Week (September 17-23), members of the Louisiana Purchase Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) will be here on Monday, September 21, to share the history of the U.S. Constitution and its connection to the American Revolution. This will be followed by a brief introduction, led by department staff, on how you can research your Revolutionary War patriot in the Genealogy & Local History Room.

In order to present our area’s history in an authentic way and document it, you gotta get out there and experience it. Today, our Genealogy & Local History team visited two historic mill sites - in Cedar Hill and Byrnes Mill along the Big River.
