Our benefit golf tournament earlier this week was a great day on the course. With the generous support of our sponsors and golfers, we raised $28,480 for the Highlands Ranch Park and Recreation Foundation. Among other projects, the Foundation helps fund youth recreation scholarships, park amenities, the Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument, historic interpretation at the Highlands Ranch Mansion, community events and more.

In this video, Neil Alderson, Director of Recreation and Cultural Programs for the Highlands Ranch Metro District, shares why Historic Park is such a special place for the community and what could lie ahead for its future.
The Mansion has long served as the heart of Historic Park, and now the surrounding land, conveyed to the Metro District by Shea Homes, is opening the possibilities to something bigger. Neil says there is a lot of potential when it comes to imagining the park's future, from kids' camps and passive park space to interactive signage, reflective areas, and live ranching demonstrations. Community events already held on the property could expand too, offering educational opportunities for people of all ages. It's a jewel of Highlands Ranch, rooted in generations of history, and the Metro District wants everyone to experience it.
Share your ideas for the future of Historic Park at highlandsranch.org/historicpark.

Giving back takes many forms. Members of our forestry team and other staff were proud to volunteer their skills yesterday with Saluting Branches at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Saluting Branches is a nationwide volunteer event that brings together arborists and other industry professionals to provide tree care and landscape services at national cemeteries in honor of U.S. service members and veterans.
