Lowkey I think I got into DC partly to cope. Before this, I mostly made political art, especially after the gnc*de began. But the reason I entered the DC fandom at all was Superman 2025 and the way Jarhanpur mirrored 🍉

As a Palest1nian, I’ve been genuinely surprised and touched by the support I’ve seen for my people throughout the DC fandom. Even if not everyone can agree on things via fandom discourse or ship wars, it’s at least nice to see support for G4za and Palest1ne. I hope these big issues can bring us together for collective action like fundraising for people in need and continuing to spread awareness 🤍❤️🖤💚

Damian meets Kon’s eyes across the widening gap, and Kon looks wrecked as he reaches for him. Blood at his mouth, bruises on his skin, shoulders bowed under invisible weight. His power fizzes around his fingers, stretched too thin.

Always trying to hold everything. Everyone. Even now.

If I make him reach for me, he will. He will, Damian thinks. And something else will break instead.

And he’s right; he can see Kon’s TTK flickering out as his focus turns solely on Damian, turning his back on the rest of the world, and it’s not a choice Damian can let him make. The world needs him, their hope.

His hope.

This, at least, is something he can do.

“Hold the line,” Damian says quietly. He knows Kon can hear him over the chaos. He unclips his utility belt and hurls it across the widening gap.

Kon catches it with a shaking hand as he descends after him. His expression shatters. “Don’t you–Damian, don’t you dare–”

“Seal it,” Damian adds.

The Pit’s pull becomes a tug, then a grip. He could have scrambled back, tried to leap, trusted in Kon to catch him. He could have clung to the last piece of stone like a coward, dragging everyone down with him.

Instead, Damian loosens his fingers from the broken railing.

And for the second time in his life, he chooses to fall.

For an instant, he’s suspended in nothing, the world above him framed in shards; Kon lunging despite himself, Raven braced beside him, her soul-self flaring instinctively, Donna and the others watching from the edge, still as grave markers.

Then the green swallows him.

The last thing he hears before the Lazarus Pit closes over his head is Kon screaming his name, voice breaking, and Raven’s magic reaching around the ledge, a violet cocoon wrapping around Kon, holding them and the Pit together by sheer, furious will.
