Located in Collin County, Lucas is known for larger residential lots, estate style homes, open space and a quieter country feel while still keeping you connected to the growing North Dallas area. It’s a great community to have on your radar if space and privacy are priorities.

From a real estate standpoint, it is definitely a market worth knowing. The median sale price over the three months ending August 2026 was about $1.15 million, and there are also new construction and large lot opportunities throughout the area.

Edlin, Darilyn and Jazmine are putting together their scenario for our September Surge Realty REALTOR® Safety Challenge!

Their scenario: Meeting an unknown buyer for the first time at a vacant property. 🏠

It’s something that can feel routine in real estate, but meeting someone you don’t know alone at an unfamiliar or vacant property can create unnecessary risk.

One safety takeaway: Know who you’re meeting before you meet them. Verify new prospects, share your appointment details with someone you trust and have a plan before walking into the property.

That’s what this month’s challenge is all about. Having some fun and getting creative while starting conversations that can help our agents think about safety before they find themselves in an uncomfortable situation.

They’re putting together a role play showing how quickly an everyday real estate situation can change and why awareness, preparation and having a safety plan matter.

This is exactly what I wanted from this month’s challenge. Our agents working together, getting creative and having fun while bringing attention to REALTOR® Safety Month.
