We're sure you’ve opened your LinkedIn and Instagram in the last week or so and have seen pictures like this and have wondered where even is this coming from… We did some digging on this too, and it looks like this is not something new. The art style was developed by Studio Ghibli, co-founded by legendary Japanese animator and director Miyazaki. It busted the internet then.

As a design agency we find this super interesting. It shows how old art styles can make a big comeback and feel totally fresh again. It’s a cool reminder that sometimes the best ideas come from and simple things around it and as designers, it pushes us to mix that nostalgic feel with today’s trends in a way people really connect with.
