Meet Dr. Vazemiller! She's a true example of what it means to be a great pediatric dentist and we're so grateful to have her on our team.

Turkey contains a lot of phosphorus, which is great for tooth development!

We know it can be difficult to determine when to start brushing your child's new teeth, and the answer is the sooner the better! You don't have to use a properly bristled brush right away, but making sure their tooth or teeth stay clean is best. As they gain more teeth and outgrow silicone bristle brushes, that's the time to move on to a child's toothbrush.

Armadillos just have a mouthful of sharp teeth, while we have an array of canines, incisors, and molars. Each type of tooth has a different purpose, whether it's tearing, grinding, or chewing! The most interesting part to us is how they don't have enamel, but it does make sense. Armadillos don't do as much chewing as we do, so they don't need strong and healthy teeth like us!

Happy National Brush Day! Make sure your little ones brush their teeth daily, especially after all that Halloween candy! There's nothing scarier to a dentist than cavities!
