From expanding access to safe drinking water in Pakistan to improving cervical cancer screening across Africa, the 2026 Faculty for the Future Impact Prize winners are driving meaningful change in communities around the world.

Celebrated recently in Paris, the winners represent the inaugural recipients of the Schlumberger Foundation's Impact Prize.

For more than two decades, the Faculty for the Future program has supported women scientists and engineers pursuing advanced STEM research while developing leadership skills.

Launched this year, the Impact Prize provides additional funding to initiatives that have demonstrated measurable results, helping them scale their next stage of growth and community impact.

Congratulations to the 2026 Impact Prize winners and to the more than 1,000 Faculty for the Future Fellows whose work continues to advance science, innovation and opportunity around the world.

Sometimes the first step toward a new career is simply being able to picture yourself in it.

That simple but powerful belief is what inspires Ana Ligia R. Trannin in her role as our recruiting manager for Brazil. Through career fairs, educational programs and initiatives providing training for women, she helps people from different backgrounds explore opportunities in the energy industry.

She has also helped connect students and universities with practical resources like donated laptops and software. While these may seem like small gestures, they can change what’s possible for one individual — and an entire community.

Through these efforts, she’s come to understand that recruitment is a two way-street.

“My goal is to help build a strong, sustainable talent pipeline for our company’s future. That’s only possible by expanding access to job opportunities for young talent, helping them see themselves with a career in this industry.”

That’s the impact Ana hopes to make: helping people discover new possibilities and shining a light on the path to pursue them.

Pearl Chu, SLB’s director of tech domains and university relations, joined fellow leaders from the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Pearl serves on the GHWCC board, helping support the organization’s work to champion women leadership and create more opportunities.

“It was a thrill to represent SLB during the NYSE closing bell with GHWCC! This experience was an amazing honor, being able to represent SLB's strong culture around diversity and inclusion while celebrating the strength, leadership and impact of women in business.”

As SLB marks its 100th anniversary, we're sharing the stories of our employees around the world.

Giselle's journey began in electronic engineering and evolved into a career focused on sustainability. Today, as one of our social development leaders for Ecuador, Colombia and Peru, she helps develop initiatives with local community partners.

One project especially meaningful to her is a STEM education lab developed in collaboration with Universidad San Francisco de Quito. The lab hosts workshops and provides teachers and students with access to technologies including robotics, virtual reality and 3D printing.

“What inspires me most is seeing how education and innovation can expand opportunities for the next generation,” Giselle says.

Through her work, Giselle has seen students explore STEM fields, educators gain access to new learning tools and entrepreneurs share their growth stories. For her, these initiatives highlight the role partnerships and sustained engagement can play in supporting local education initiatives.

Multiple times a year, the people of Norway trek through the mountains as part of "dugnad," a long-standing tradition of collective volunteering in the region.

Whether it's splitting and stacking firewood, or building wooden walkways to protect vulnerable trails, these days aren't just about making nature more accessible. They're about teamwork under demanding conditions, care for the environment, and respect for local culture.

It's a spirit of shared responsibility that extends to our employees, who are encouraged early on in their careers to step out of their daily roles and into the mountains to take part in dugnad.
