Congratulations to the Otters for winning our 2026-2027 Punctuation Day Pub Quiz and holding on to the cup for a second year. All the teams worked hard answering punctuation questions and are nipping at their heels but they emerged our victorious winners by just one point!

Of course we didn’t miss it! This Tuesday we celebrated one of our favorite days -International Dot Day! This is based on the book ’The Dot’ and encourages all children to find a way to make their mark, no matter how small it starts.

How will you make your mark this year? Our students are always encouraged to make their mark and try their best and this art inspired day helped them express themselves in different ways.

Summer break is (already!) almost over, and we are excitedly preparing for a wonderful new school year at MADE Houston!

This past Friday, we were honored to host a farewell ceremony for our 8th-grade graduates and celebrate the achievements of all students this year. We had a remarkable year and appreciate everyone's contributions. We look forward to reconnecting with everyone after the summer and welcoming new students. Have a great summer and we will see you all in August!

The moment to compete has finally arrived, rain or shine!

After months of rigorous training, our students finally had the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete in the annual Olympic Games. They participated in both individual and team sports, demonstrating their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout the training process and final competitions. We are extremely proud of the progress they have achieved in the various sports.

Today our younger students stayed after school for a color war! They played capture the flag, had a water balloon fight, and enjoyed pizza for dinner. A fun time was had by all!

So much fun tonight at our Upper School Graduation Party! Loved seeing old friends and ending our year filled with joy, laughter, and a few tears as we say goodbye. Thanks to everyone who was able to make it, we miss those of you who couldn’t, and look forward to what the new year will bring!

Some teachers do more than teach—they help students see themselves in a new light and discover gifts they didn’t know they had. Last week, we had the special opportunity to honor Ms. Greta. From the very beginning, she has been an essential part of our MADE Houston family. With her remarkable talent and warm spirit, she helped make our school a brighter, more joyful place—one where every student felt welcomed, supported, and brave enough to try. Whether she was guiding us in art or teaching ELA and Social Studies, Ms. Greta showed us that there isn’t always just one “right” answer. She reminded us that mistakes can be transformed into something beautiful. Because of her steady encouragement, students who once believed they were “not good at art” began to participate with confidence and take creative risks.

Although we see her less often now that she is enjoying a well-deserved retirement, we feel her influence every day in our classrooms, our hallways, and in the confidence of our students. When we expanded MADE Houston, it felt only fitting to dedicate a room to the one and only Ms. Greta—a lasting tribute to all she has given our community. We look forward to the creativity, courage, and talent future students will continue to discover in “Ms. Greta’s Art Room.”

Yesterday we held our first annual Recycled Runway Show to celebrate Earth Day! Students were challenged to come up with creative and functional attire using recycled materials. They went all out and looked fabulous!
