Happy Weekend from the VPC family. Though your Vault wellhead is keeping your wells and crews safe, the most dangerous activity that most of us do every day is drive or ride in a vehicle. In the US alone, there are roughly 40,000 deaths from vehicle accidents every year. So please stay safe and remember these few suggestions as you travel to your weekend destinations:
1. Focus on driving (e.g. no multi-tasking or texting, and if you are on the phone keep it brief and use hands-free)

2. Utilize defensive driving (e.g. be aware of other drivers, keep a safe distance between you and the drivers in front of you, and adjust speeds and tactics when traveling with adverse weather conditions)

3. Think ahead and plan your trip (e.g. give yourself time for breaks, adjust mirrors and put on your seat belt before you begin to drive, and back in to your final destination when you are able to do so safely)

4. Execute safe driving practices (e.g. secure moveable loads in your vehicle, don't try and pick up something that falls to the floor while driving, always wear your seat belt, and always drive sober)

If you have kids in the car, remember that you are a role model and they are watching. If they aren't driving yet they will be soon, so lead by example. Have a great weekend and stay safe.
