The construction of an inscribed equilateral triangle for a rectangular hyperbola (a=b) was not complex. I am still stuck with the construction for other types of hyperbolas. Stay tuned, or let me know in the comments if you know where to find this construction đŸ˜‰.

Circles are so amazing! This construction is not unique. I am still working on the equilateral triangle inscribed in a hyperbola.

Equilateral triangles can be inscribed in all conics. I show the construction when the conic is a parabola, now here it is a construction for the ellipse. The major and minor axes of the smaller ellipse are determined by the major and minor axes of the ellipse.

I read a post on LinkedIn by James Tanton. Asking if it is possible to draw an inscribed triangle in a parabola. The proof is not trivial, in fact the theorem includes all conics. The construction is fun, and given that our next topic in the Math Palette includes GeoGebra. Here it is!
