We spend so much of our time making sure our families are fed, healthy, safe, and cared for.
But sometimes it’s the everyday things we bring into our homes that we forget to question.
The food we serve. The products we clean with. The things we put on our skin. The air we breathe.
You don’t have to make your home perfect. Just becoming more aware and making better choices when you can is already a beautiful way of taking care of the people you love.

We check the ingredients in our food, skincare, and cleaning products...
So why don't we talk more about what's in menstrual products? 👀
One thing I’ve become more intentional about as I’ve learned more about the wellness industry? Who owns the brands I buy from.
I’m not saying a big corporation automatically means a bad product. But I do think it’s nice to know there are still independent health and wellness brands out there making products without being part of a massive corporate portfolio.
Do your own research, read the label, and know where your money is going.
Here are a few brands to keep on your radar and save this list for your next wellness shopping trip.

Taking off your makeup is part of your skincare routine too.
I’m picky about what I use on my skin, especially when it comes to products I use every single day. I look for simpler formulas and avoid unnecessary fragrance and ingredients I’d rather not have in my routine.
If you’re looking for non-toxic makeup remover, here are a few I’d put on your list.
Save this for your next makeup/skincare swap!

The moment our kids step out the front door, we lose control over what they’re breathing, eating, touching, and running into—and honestly, that’s just life.
Trying to control every single external exposure is a fast track to burnout and anxiety, which isn't healthy for us or our families either. But our home is different.
Our home is the place where we get to set the baseline. It’s where we choose the laundry detergent on their sheets, the pans we cook their meals in, or the soaps sitting on the bathroom counter.
It’s not about perfection or living in fear of the outside world, but simply about being intentional with what we willingly bring through our front door.
When we lower the total toxic load inside our own walls, we give their bodies the best possible foundation to handle whatever comes at them outside.
If you’re starting to make more intentional choices for your health and want to be more mindful about what you bring into your home, I have a FREE Quick Start Guide to Going Low-Tox for you.
It walks you through simple swaps you can make without feeling like you need to change everything overnight.

We talk a LOT about what women put on their bodies, but men have their own daily exposure to things like fragrance, personal care ingredients, plastics, and other potential endocrine disruptors.
And no, this doesn't mean your husband needs to throw everything in the bathroom away tonight 😂
Start small. Check the products he uses every single day and look for simpler alternatives when it makes sense.
Save this post and send it to the man who probably isn't checking his ingredient labels yet.
When a wellness brand gets bought by a massive corporation, I always have the same question:
What happens to the products?
Does a buyout automatically mean the products are no longer clean? Not necessarily.
But it’s a good reminder not to rely on a brand name or its marketing alone. Formulas, sourcing, manufacturing, and product priorities can change over time.
My advice? Keep reading the label. Don’t assume “clean,” “natural,” or “non-toxic” automatically means it’s a better choice.
Consider this your reminder to check the labels and watch out for greenwashing.

You don’t have to change everything in your home to start living low-tox.
Sometimes it’s as simple as taking your shoes off, using less plastic for food, dusting more often, or saying no to a receipt.
These little habits can help reduce everyday exposure without making your life complicated.
