Today is the Feast of St. Anthony, and if you visit downtown Warsaw, you’ll find the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, first built in the 17th century, standing at its heart.

For more than three hundred years, Polish Catholics have worshiped there in times of war and peace. The church stands as a testament to the people’s devotion to St. Anthony — known as the patron saint of finding what is lost — and to the depth and perseverance of Poland’s faith.
