TODAY IS THE DAY! We have three students representing FTGH at the PURE Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach this week. Gabby, Leslie, and Ryan were chosen out of thousands of applicants across the First Tee Network to compete this week. Good luck, we’re all rooting for you!

Follow along on Golf Channel and send all the good vibes their way✨

Special shoutout to 2025 PURE Insurance Winner and FTGH participant Margaret Kerr❤️

What started as a dream with just three kids has grown into one of the most successful First Tee program locations in our chapter.

This weekend, FTGH and Houston Golf Association celebrated the completion of $250,000 in capital improvements at Quail Valley Golf Course, creating an enhanced practice facility for First Tee participants and the Missouri City community to enjoy for years to come!

This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the vision and dedication of Floyd and Linda Emery, Roger Dauzat, Viki Gregory, Doug and Ellen Earle, Allen Owen, the Quail Valley Ladies Golf Association, and so many generous supporters who came together to make this project a reality.

To celebrate, more than 100 participants, families, and volunteer coaches gathered at Quail Valley to see the completed upgrades, including a new pavilion, donor recognition signage, and other improvements that will benefit young people and local families for years to come.

As Claire Bey, President & CEO of Houston Golf Association and First Tee - Greater Houston, shared:

"Every dollar raised by people in the local community went directly toward strengthening recreation opportunities and quality green space for Missouri City kids and families. This project sets the standard for how nonprofits and local government can work together to maximize resources and create lasting impact."

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. Together, we're creating opportunities, building community, and investing in the next generation of game changers.

If Samuel’s name looks familiar… it should! Last month, we celebrated Samuel and his brother Gabriel for earning the highest rank available to youth members of the Boy Scouts of America: Eagle Scout! They also put their commitment to service into action by rebuilding and painting the bag stand at F.M. Law Park — thank you, guys!

Now, Samuel is taking that same dedication, leadership and commitment to service to the First Tee Innovators Forum, where he’ll work alongside fellow young leaders, learn from industry mentors and develop a service project focused on an issue he’s passionate about.

We’re pretty proud to have Samuel representing First Tee – Greater Houston — and we have a feeling this is just the beginning. Can't wait to see you in sunny Florida, Samuel!

Big news for Eva and Bailey!

We’re so proud to congratulate these two incredible First Tee – Greater Houston participants on being selected for the First Tee Drive Your Future Academy!

This five-day female empowerment experience brings together motivated young women from across First Tee Chapters to build leadership skills, explore mentorship and career opportunities, grow their networks, and discover the power of giving back.

Eva and Bailey will have the opportunity to learn alongside industry leaders, participate in hands-on workshops, and hit the course — all while connecting with an inspiring community of young women.

We can’t wait to see where this opportunity takes you both!

Not something you see every day…

Earlier this year, FTGH participant Ryan Lopez traveled all the way to Dubai to play at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club (yes, the same course that hosted the PGA Dubai Invitational just one week later.)

Pretty cool, right?

Well, apparently Dubai wasn’t done with him just yet.
Months later, it turns out that Ryan is featured on professional posters at the course. Talk about a fun surprise! He had no idea his photos from the trip would end up being featured around the course.

So, naturally, we have to celebrate our international superstar.

From First Tee Houston to posters in Dubai… Ryan Lopez you’re kind of a big deal and we are here👏for👏it👏
