With the summer heat here, a lot of kids and families are hitting the pool, and thereâs a warning about one of the more popular pool toys on the market right now. About 254 thousand âSloosh Dive Sticksâ are being recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Officials say the hard plastic toys violate a federal compress limit and could cause piercing injuries if children fall on the stick.
The world cup games come at a time when many of the host cities, including Houston, will be experiencing very hot temperatures. So staying hydrated is a must. Thatâs why FIFAâS policy allows for each fan to carry one 20oz factory sealed disposable water bottle. They will turn you away if you have hard-sided reusable bottles, Tumblers, metal or glass containers or if your disposable water bottle is not factory sealed. So donât open it until you make it past the front gate.

ICYMI: The FDA has approved a new sunscreen ingredient for the first time in more than 20 years. Itâs called bemotrizinol and itâs been used in Europe for decades. Experts say this is a safer option to many chemical ingredients already in use in the United States. The FDA says the ingredient protects against both UVA and UVB rays and itâs not easily absorbed into the skin. The UVA protection is significant because studies show many U.S. products fall short of the coverage listed on their labels. The ingredient is cleared for use by adults and children six months and older.
