Two great groups in Houston are making the holiday season even happier for our seniors and their pets. Our Meals on Wheels America partners at HAAM (Humble Area Assistance Ministries) have been collecting blue jeans for us and sent them over yesterday. Volunteers at Congregation Emanu El will use them to make dog toys for our Animeals clients during their annual Mitzvah Day in November.

Food insecurity has quadrupled. But fewer people are being served.

IM Houston's Abdul Majeed Alizad joined The Refugee Lens, a speaker panel hosted this week by Texas A&M Students for Refugees in College Station. Speakers shared personal experiences and perspectives on refugee journeys, community service, and humanitarian work, followed by a moderated discussion and audience Q&A.
