The Banff School

The Lower School STUCO members invited the newest members of our Banff family to lunch on the patio today. They visited and checked in on how they are adjusting to school as a new Banff bear and if they needed anything. They also brought them special drawings, treats, and gifts to welcome them. Sounded like everything is going great! Way to go Bears❤️💙❤️

🚗🍔 In anticipation of getting the glass installed on the new doors in Upper School, teachers got creative and turned them into their favorite drive-thru! 😂

From coffee stops to fast-food favorites, our teachers brought a little humor and personality to the new doors while we wait for the finishing touches. ☕🍟🍔

It might not feel like fall yet, but PK3 had a very successful leaf hunt🍂🍁🍂

🍎Apples, Apples Everywhere! 🍎

Our kindergarteners wrapped up their apple study with a whole bushel of fun! From apple tasting to hands-on apple activities, our students learned, explored, and discovered all things apples.

They even put on their detective hats to solve the case of the missing apples 🕵️🍎 and finished their study by becoming little chefs and making delicious apple pies! 🥧🧑‍🍳

📚Stories Come to Life in the Library!📚

Our students enjoyed a fun and engaging library experience as they listened to stories through Novel Effect while watching the stories come to life on the ceiling! 📖✨

Combining storytelling, sound, and technology made for an exciting way to explore books and spark a love of reading! ❤️📚

🔎📚 Sentence Partners in First Grade! 📚🔎

Our first graders were on the move as they searched around the room to find the perfect partner to complete a sentence! 🧩✏️

This hands-on activity gave students a fun way to practice identifying the naming part and the telling part of a sentence while working together and learning from one another. 💬🤝

Learning grammar is even more fun when you can get up, move around, and make it interactive! ❤️💙🐻

🧪🔬 Mixing Things Up in 5th Grade Science! 🔬🧪

What happens to the properties of substances when we mix them together? Our 5th graders put their scientific thinking to the test! 🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬

Through hands-on experiments, students observed how mixing different substances can change their appearance, texture, state, and other properties. They made observations, recorded their findings, and used evidence to explain what they discovered.

Science is always more exciting when you can see it, test it, and discover it for yourself! 🔍✨

We are excited to welcome Jessie as our new Vocal Performance teacher!
Jessie earned her degree in Vocal Performance from Sam Houston State University and brings experience as both a music educator and performer. She has taught private voice and piano students of all ages and has performed in numerous musical theatre and opera productions.
Jessie is passionate about helping students develop healthy vocal technique, musicianship, creativity, and—most importantly—the confidence to find their own voice. Her positive, encouraging teaching style meets students where they are while helping them grow as both musicians and performers.
We are thrilled to have Jessie joining the Banff family and can't wait to see our Vocal Performance students shine! 🎤🎭🎶
