It’s National Adult Day Services Week!

This year's theme is IGNITE: Purpose, Passion, and Possibilities, which celebrates the people, programs, and relationships that make Adult Day Services such an important part of communities across the country.

At CarePartners, we're proud to be part of a community that provides connection, engagement, and support for older adults and their caregivers every day. We couldn’t do it without our 1,500+ volunteers, numerous partners and generous donors. Thank you for all that you do!

Today is World Alzheimer's Day. A day to cherish memories with loved ones, recognize the challenges that come with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, and raise awareness about the support available to those affected.

These statistics from the Alzheimer's Association are staggering, but behind every number is a person, a family, and a story.

Volunteers make our world go round! 🌍💚

That sentiment rings true at our Klein UMC Gathering Place, where dedicated volunteers have shared their time, talents, and hearts with participants each month for the past 20 years!

From crafts and games to dancing and delicious meals, these volunteers help create meaningful moments of connection and joy for our Care Partners.

A special thank you to the Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum for joining us in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Gathering Place at Klein UMC! We're so grateful for the volunteers and community supporters who make this program possible.

Cindy is one of our wonderful volunteers and a talented artist who shares her creativity with members of our Dementia Day Center through art classes 🎨

This month, members created "Apples of Hope" artwork 🍎 in celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Taking in the sights and sounds! 🌳📸 On this nature walk, members of our Dementia Day Center took a stroll in the fresh air and documented the sights and sounds they noticed along the way through photography.

Afterward, they brought their photos back to the Dementia Day Center to share them with fellow members, giving everyone a chance to experience the park through one another's eyes and perspectives.

Activities like this help individuals living with dementia stay engaged with the world around them while encouraging creativity, social connection, and physical activity!

The CarePartners office and Dementia Day Center will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
