The best rooms don’t feel like one era. They feel collected. A Victorian cast-iron fireplace set in modern marble. Classic millwork in high-gloss black. Green lacquer next to 100-year-old brick. The traditional piece brings the history, and the contemporary setting keeps it from feeling like a museum.
Our 5 rules for getting the mix right:
• Let the old piece be the star
• Keep the palette tight
• Give traditional profiles a modern finish
• Let hardware tell the story
• Frame the view

This Delray Beach living room started with the ceiling. The wood paneling sets the angle, the shelving carries it down, and every piece of custom LPD furniture had to hold its own next to that much texture. Coral, glass, a little pattern in the pillows — nothing loud, everything intentional.

I love layering in pieces that already feel like they belong. In this entryway, it’s my client’s antiques doing the work, setting the intention before you even reach the stairs. (Last photo is an adorable surprise 🐱)

Simplicity was key in this guest bedroom. Antiques against crisp white linen, played off a textured wall covering and patterned carpet— that contrast is what gives this room its sense of peace.

So honored to be part of this month’s River Oaks Lifestyle. The homes I design aren’t meant to look like anyone else’s. They’re meant to reflect the people who live in them. Thank you City Lifestyle Publications ®️ for telling that story so well. ✨

The Lagasse family calls this The Piano Room. A custom banquette wrapped in fabric, lacquer-painted coffee tables, and a light fixture overhead — all opening up to the view of Santa Rosa Beach.

Florals, palms, and a checkered marble floor — Palm Beach Regency layered with Chinoiserie and a clean classical hand. The mix is the magic. ✨
We will be photographing this entire home renovation and interior design project soon. Each room is truly jaw dropping with beautiful antiques and design.
