CCSC needs feminine hygiene pads and adult pull-up diapers (large and extra-large). Donations can be made through our wish list at https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3HHA7Z727ESB8/ or dropped off with volunteers at our loading dock door at 3434 Branard St. (M-F, 10:15 a.m.-1:30 p.m.). Together, we exceeded our goal and raised over $140,000 to help CCSC serve more of our neighbors in need.

Sharing Birthday Joy!
Brooke Barnes' daughters, Margaret, 4, and Ruth, 7, decided to give back for their birthdays by assembling birthday kits for visitors to CCSC's food pantries. The girls put together 75 kits by accepting donations from family and friends in place of birthday gifts for themselves. "They were so excited to share birthday joy with our community," Brooke said, "and support the amazing work CCSC does every day." Thank you, girls. What a great way to share your birthdays!

Today is International Day of Charity, in honor of Mother Teresa and her lifelong dedication to serving the poor. Data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that Houston now has the highest poverty rate among the nation’s most populous cities, with 32% of Houston children living below the poverty line. From January to June 2026, children made up 35% of those served at CCSC’s food pantries.
