Memories from Friday night in Houston 🤩. It was a total and complete honor to present Jon Kimura Parker’s debut at Miller Outdoor Theatre, in a collaboration that unfolds new dimensions of music-making for us every time.
Big shoutout to the visual team that made us larger than life: Tiffany Schrepferman for lighting design, R. Eric Bowers for animations, and Monica Hindmarsh for photography.
With a high five for our compatriots Musiqa Houston and Houston Cinema Arts Society for adding up-to-the-minute sights and sounds to this “Double Feature,” and a hug for the experts on the production crew, who always take great care of us. Thanks also to the Miller Outdoor Theatre Advisory Board for this special homecoming 🙏

Friday September 4th @ 8:00pm we take the Miller Outdoor Theatre stage in a FREE concert for all of Houston. We’re thrilled to present the legendary Jon Kimura Parker’s debut at Miller (how is this possible?) and premiere new animated visuals by R. Eric Bowers, including the scene above.
Enjoy the lawn, tropical depression pending, for picnics and more, or snag a seat under the roof. All free and open to the public! No advance ticket needed, but we recommend reserving a seat at milleroutdoortheatre.com for a primo location.

Wednesday morning: WindSync celebrates storytelling with musical stories for the whole family!
Our week at Miller Outdoor Theatre begins with the Sounds and Stories matinee program. Young listeners will meet the instruments, and our signature theatrical adaptation of Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf returns to Houston for the first time since 2024. FREE and open to the public ✨
With that, our 🏈 Houston season kickoff week 🏈 is fully rolled out! We hope to see you at all three events, but we’ll take a high five at HEB too. See y’all soon!

Where were you when you heard about our 2026-2027 season? We hope it will be at our Winds and Wine Season Kickoff Party! FREE and open to all! C’mon by Archway Gallery on Wednesday September 2 and raise a glass with us.
Doors at 7:00 - we’ll play some tunes and drop the season announcement at 7:30.
Summer isn’t over yet, but this performance of Kenji Bunch’s Summer Hours with Daniel Anastasio at San Antonio Chamber Music Society is conjuring that late-season nostalgia ☀️
