The Summerwood Elementary PTO Board is organized for the purpose of supporting the education of the children at
Summerwood Elementary School by doing the following:
Fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers. Developing a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement
Enhancing the educational experience by supporting academic and enrichment activities. Enhancing a sense of community by holding social events like Family Fun Nights and the school carnival. Improving the environment at Summerwood Elementary by providing financial support through fundraisers
Research shows that parent involvement at schools makes a huge difference in your school and your children. We want to make it easy for you to get involved at Summerwood Elementary! You can help out in a classroom, the workroom, at home or at any of our
functions. If this doesn't work for you, let us know your talents and how you would like to help, and we will see what we can do.

Last week our 5th graders enjoyed lunch at Raffa’s Waterfront Grill for their Manners Banquet. Thank you to our teachers who prepared them for this special occasion and our volunteers who helped to plan and execute the event! The fifth grader Manners Banquet is a special celebration and rite of passage as they wrap up their elementary school days and embark on a new journey in middle school! Don’t they look fantastic?

Back to our Staff Appreciation week recap! Last week on Thursday our Staff was treated to Raising Canes by SWE PTO, charcuterie by the Walker family after school, and Tommy's Express Car Wash brought the Houston Astros’ World Series Trophy to our campus! Our teachers and staff enjoyed snacks as they got to see and take photos with the trophy. Thanks - it was a home run afternoon! 🏆 ⚾️ 🧢🏟️
