We had a great time last weekend with the ASCE Houston Branch at the AIA Sandcastle Competition! This competition is one of the top five revenue-generating events for the City of Galveston. On the day of the event, the teams meticulously sculpt their piles of sand and work non-stop. The judging of the sculptures is rated on the originality of concept, artistic ex*****on, technical difficulty, carving technique and utilization of the site.

After an incredible 48-year career in engineering, Truman C. Edminster, PE, is beginning a well-deserved retirement.
As a third-generation engineer and grandson of EHRA’s founder, Truman’s connection to the firm runs deep. Over his 27 years with EHRA, he has shaped the firm through his leadership, mentorship, commitment to service and belief that great engineering goes beyond a single discipline. His influence can be seen not only in the work EHRA has accomplished across the Greater Houston region, but also in the countless engineers and future leaders he has mentored along the way.
