PetSet is dedicated to alleviating the homelessness and suffering of companion animals.
By providing critical funds and working together with strategic community partners, we seek to end homelessness and alleviate suffering for our companion animals. Our goal is to help those who are “in the trenches” every day rescuing, spaying, neutering, fostering, adopting and protecting Houston’s animals. We believe that the animal homelessness crisis in our community is a solvable problem. Please Note - we are not a rescue, and this is not a page for cross-posting or networking pets.

Our World Cup campaign expanded low-cost spay and neuter services, connected families through adoption events, and helped transport 160 animals to loving homes.

For at least a week, Makayla survived alone on an island in Lake Houston, holding on against unimaginable odds. Today, she is finally safe, proving that hope is never lost when people refuse to stop searching.
This rescue came together through extraordinary collaboration. Natalie Fox Maisel’s unwavering advocacy helped mobilize the effort, while a drone donated by PetSet played a critical role in locating Makayla. Once she was rescued, PetSet committed to her emergency medical care, and Dr. Cooper and the team at Westbury Animal Hospital generously donated her treatment.
We are deeply grateful to Houston Fire Station 51, BARC Animal Shelter, Friends of BARC, Natalie Fox Maisel, Dr. Cooper, Westbury Animal Hospital, and every person who gave their time, expertise, and heart to bring Makayla to safety.
Makayla’s story is a powerful reminder that when a community comes together, lives are changed. Thank you for believing she was worth fighting for.
