Frank, our approximately 7-year-old rescued from a Florida shelter went to a new home in North Carolina a few days ago. Unfortunately he is not getting along with the schnauzer that also lives in the home so we are going to have to take him back. We need to get him out of the home as soon as possible. If you are available to help by fostering or adopting, please fill out an adoption app at wheatensinneed.org and contact Gwen at (713) 906-6048.
We can help with transportation to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia or Virginia, if needed.

Gwen is getting this girl out out of the shelter in Brenham, Texas tomorrow but needs someone to foster. The shelter says:
Owner surrender:
Teddy is an 8-year-old female wheaten terrier. She is fully vaccinated and spayed. This adorable sweetheart and part-time Houdini is a bundle of joy to everyone she meets; dogs, kids, and strangers alike are welcome in her eyes. She is house broken, good on a leash, and has more than enough energy to give her future home great exercise. She is a bit sensitive to loud noises, and unless given constant attention she will attempt to escape your fenced in property at any chance she gets to see the wider world.
If you can help, please fill out a volunteer app at wheatensinneed.org and contact Gwen at (713) 906-6048.

These are Kenai (male) and Yelena (female), both approximately age 5, in Masonville, Colorado. They are being rehomed because their owners are moving to New Zealand and cannot keep them past next Monday, June 22nd. We would like to place them together if possible, but the owners say they will be OK if we have to separate them.
Both dogs are on a therapeutic diet to manage some GI issues. Yelena is a puppy mill survivor and can be a little shy at first around strangers.
If you can help by fostering or adopting Kenai and Yelena, please fill out an adoption application at wheatensinneed.org and call or text Gwen at (713) 906-6048.

Before and after. Frank was picked up by Orange County animal Services in Orlando, Florida in April. He was underweight and suffering from malnutrition-related skin problems. The shelter estimated that he was about 7 years old, but the rough condition he was in could have made him appear older than he really is.
Frank has been fully vetted and is healthy now. He has gained weight and his skin and coat have improved. He has been neutered and had his teeth cleaned and is ready to go to a forever home. His foster mom says he is very sweet.
If you are interested in adopting Frank, please fill out an adoption application at wheatensinneed.org and call or text Gwen at (713) 906-6048.

Rowyn met her new mom Christine in New Mexico today and will be heading to California over the weekend for a whole new life.
Thank you, Bobbi Salmon for coordinating the transfer.

Weโve found a new home in California for Rowyn. The new owner would like to pick her up around Tucson, Arizona on Friday, May 22nd. We can get her as far as Hatch, New Mexico. Is there anyone between Hatch and Tucson who can get her a little further west? There doesnโt seem to be a whole lot along the way except a lot of empty space, so I know itโs a long shot, but I have to ask.
