As a Christian, at Easter time, I feel the strong desire to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. I also want to honor the uniqueness of everyone in class and be accepting of all religions, beliefs and faiths.
Coming into my inclusive public Soma Faith Movement class with "let's all celebrate Jesus!" simply is not going to work.
Feeling the creative tension between my personal faith and professional responsibility, I found myself jumping for Joy when a fabulous solution revealed itself! What if we compile a playlist of songs to do with Rising with a focus around the concept "Rising".
ONLINE Class at 10am this Saturday morning via zoom. Also 10am Monday at Soma Ranch and ONLINE.

we dive into a new archetype today, excited to explore….
The Explorer is the part of us that longs to move beyond what is familiar; not through striving or escape, but through curiosity, courage, and trust. This archetype invites us to
- soften control,
- awaken wonder, and
- rediscover the body as a place of guidance, revelation, and holy discovery.
Soma Faith 5 stages Class: The Explorer Archetype — Soma Ranch A 60-Minute Embodied Journey Through the 5 Soma Stages
03/14/2026
I am enjoying my process (this year, this month, this morning) developing a movement program I am calling Soma Faith Movement.
I am bringing many different "branches" of my education, trainings and intuition into how I create these experiences, including Exercise Physiology, EFT tapping, guided meditation, somatic movement, voice dialogue, prayer, Hero Archetypes, Shadow Work, Authentic Movement and Breathwork.
This month our focus is the Rebel Hero Archetype, This morning I am guiding a Meditation/EFT Tapping/Soma 5 stages experience, followed by a Somatic Movement Dance... I wrap all experiences with prayer, and this year I am giving myself the "extra bonus challenge" of finding ways for my experiences, words, prayers and guidance to be friendly for folks of all faiths, while sustaining my personal love for Jesus! ....
Here's some of my notes for this morning's classes:
The Rebel archetype
-Honors “Jesus flipping tables” energy without aggression
-Encourages movement that pushes, resists, pauses, and reclaims space
Supports themes of:
-Saying no so a deeper yes can emerge
-Breaking inherited patterns
-Choosing integrity over approval
Lyrics allow interpretation as:
-Faithful obedience
-Inner liberation
-Justice-oriented courage
-Personal truth

I love when I loose sense of time, find I am joyfully staying up late to study, prepare and plan for a lesson. Here's what's happening tomorrow....
An Embodied Movement Meditation experience
Archetypal Essence:
Human • Relational • Grounded • Real • Belonging
Meet Your Inner Everyman:
What does to truly belong feel like? not because of what we achieve, but simply because we are human?
In this guided Soma Faith movement experience, we explore the archetype of Everyman, the part of us that knows we are not separate from life, but deeply connected to the shared story of humanity.
Through a gentle, body-based journey across the five developmental stages of movement (embryonic, creeping, crawling, standing, and walking) participants are guided into an embodied experience of belonging. Not as an idea, but as something felt in the muscles, breath, and rhythm of the body.
This practice invites you to:
Rest in the truth that you already belong
Reconnect with shared humanity through movement
Experience dignity without striving or comparison
Walk forward grounded in humility and connection
Rooted in interfaith contemplative practice and developmental embodiment, this session offers a spacious, compassionate environment where participants move slowly, listen deeply, and rediscover the sacred ordinariness of being human.
This is not about becoming exceptional.
It is about remembering you are part of something shared.
Come as you are.
Move as you are able.
Leave with a deeper sense of connection: to yourself, to others, and to the living world around you.

Our February Focus is for the person inside of us who feels behind, tired of striving, or longing for grounded, embodied movement and spirituality.
You are not behind.
You are becoming.
Join us this month as we honor slow growth, embodied faith, and the sacred dignity of ordinary life.
2. The Everyman (Regular Guy/Gal) “The human”
Core desire: Belonging, connection
Strengths: Empathy, humility, groundedness
Shadow: Losing identity, seeking approval too much
Soma Faith reframing: Embodying “We are one Body” while keeping personal integrity.
“You are not behind. You are becoming.”
“You don’t have to be extraordinary to be meaningful.”
“You can only rise from the ground”
Let’s explore something quietly radical: ordinary life is holy.
February Soma Hero Journey: Honoring Ordinary Life and Celebrating being human.
This month we’re moving with the archetype of The Ordinary Man: the part of us that grows slowly, learns through repetition, and keeps showing up imperfectly.
After beginning the year with The Innocent (belonging and trust), February grounds us in what comes next: the sacred work of becoming human.
This is not symbolic only. It’s somatic.
We’ll let the body teach what words alone cannot:
You cannot skip stages.
You cannot rise without the ground.
You cannot walk without wobbling.
And nothing about that is failure.
The Ordinary Man archetype reminds us:
You don’t have to be extraordinary to be meaningful.
Your ordinary life is the exact place growth happens.
