Phulkari is geometric, counted thread by thread and stitched from the back of the cloth. That’s why the pattern is raised into the deep red dial, so it has some of that texture when the light hits.
Gurmukhi numerals and the crossed sword & wheat (to honor Punjab’s warriors and farmers) finish

Order any 2 and shipping is on us (DHL Express). Duties and taxes are paid at checkout, so there’s nothing to pay at the door. In Canada and the UAE, we cover the duties on those orders too.

In Punjab, Phulkaris were embroidered by hand from the back of the cloth.
Every Punjabi house has one. Wrapped in a bedsheet somewhere or in a top shelf of a cupboard, and yet only comes out twice a decade.
We wanted it somewhere you’d look at it 50 times a day.
Deep red, Gurmukhi numerals, the pattern cut into the dial so it illuminates when the light hits.
Just something we’ve been thinking through.
What do you all think? Should we make it? And if yes, how’s this red one? 🙂
