Welcome to our Strategic Partner Spotlight!

This is where we highlight the amazing people who are such a big part of our community, both in business and beyond.

Meet Matt Fritz, Owner of Floor Coverings International of Bloomfield Hills, MI

How did you get started in your career?
I’ve been operating Floor Coverings International of Bloomfield Hills for a little over 2 years. I love home improvement and wanted to bring a convenient service to the community with a higher level of customer care, making it easier to transform the flooring in a home or business.

What do you love most about helping your clients?
Seeing their reaction to their new floors and how much they love their transformed space.

How long have you been part of WCR?
About a year and a half.

Favorite WCR event so far?
The White Party last summer.

What do you do?
We bring the flooring store straight to your door. We sell and install hardwood, luxury vinyl, laminate, carpet, tile, custom area rugs, and more, plus hardwood sanding and refinishing. Our Mobile Flooring Showroom brings over 3,000 samples directly to our customers so they can see products in their own space.

What sets you apart?
We provide a fully itemized written quote that doesn’t expire, without the “hard sale.” We want our customers to feel comfortable, not pressured. We also bring a much greater variety of products than most shop-at-home flooring stores.

Something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I spent 20 years working in radio before opening my store.

Welcome to our Realtor Spotlight!

Meet Laura Cattermole with Keller Williams Collective.

We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing Realtor Members who consistently show up, stay involved, and help create such a supportive and inspiring community of professionals. We want to tell you more about them!

How long have you been in real estate and what got you into it?

My path to becoming an agent was a natural evolution of my career as an entrepreneur. I’ve been a real estate investor for 30 years, originally buying rental properties so I could stay home and raise my children while building a business. After decades as an investor, earning my real estate license two and a half years ago was the perfect next step. Now I get to use that experience to help others with their real estate journeys.

What do you love most about helping people buy or sell homes?

I love matching people with the right home. I listen closely to what's important to my clients, and there's nothing better than helping them find a home that checks all the boxes. I also enjoy creating a marketing strategy that tells the unique story of every home I list.

How long have you been a part of WCR?

I've been a proud member for two years. I love being part of an organization that supports and elevates women in real estate. It's a mission I've cared about for years, including serving as president of the National Association of Women Business Owners Greater Detroit chapter.

Favorite WCR event?

The Christmas program! It's so festive, and the auction is always a lot of fun.

Something people might be surprised to learn about you?

I founded and led an IT staffing firm for nearly 10 years, connecting technology professionals with top companies.
