Me and , piano player, nickel collector, and leader of the Juke Box Band. He and I spent MANY happy years together working in Toronto on the long running, award winning, PBS series
The other principle puppeteers, Craig Marin, Olga Felgamacher, Peter Baird, Alan Semok, and Kenny “Cupcake” Miele, worked incredibly long, often difficult days, and had a blast‼️

Bob Mackie was a brilliant designer, and a lovely first rate decent human being. I will never forget his kindness. In 1978/79 Paramount Pictures (and Michael Eisner) w/ Fritz Holt and Barry Brown produced PLATINUM for Broadway, staring Alexis Smith. Directed and choreographed by the legendary Joe Leighton, with lyrics by Will Holt and book by Will and Bruce Vilanch. The costumes were designed by the legendary Bob Mackie. Bob was the “magician of glitz & glamour”.
This is a still photo from a film clip shown within the production. It was filmed in glorious black & white, on The Queen Mary, and on the grand staircase at the Pantages Theatre. The film was called “The Wings of Destiny” ( 1949 ) and staring Lila Haliday (Alexis Smith) and Alan Fairmont (Jonathan Freeman). I never felt so lucky, or glamorous! Thank you Bob‼️

ON THE TOWN! 1997 or 98, I think? Either the Delacourte Theatre in Central Park, or after the move to The Gershwin Theatre.
SUPURB cast! I remember we had a LOT OF FUN! Jesse Tyler Ferguson was fantastic in the show! George C. Wolfe was a dream director! I don’t think there is any more space for exclamation points‼️
