Often, we are called on to build a visual language that will then be used by other companies, creators, and stakeholders.
For ’s 2026 National Conference theme, IMPACT, LIMB developed a conference identity built from WBENC’s established brand palette and typography.
We created a flexible family of graphics that could shift in scale, crop, color, and application while still feeling unmistakably part of the same event. Just as important, we created a library of creative assets and guidelines designed for collaboration.
The WBENC team and their event partners were able to take those elements and run with them, extending the identity across conference materials without losing cohesion. The bursts did exactly what we hoped they would. Everywhere they appeared, they brought energy and excitement, making IMPACT feel like it was bursting into being.
The goal of a strong design system is not to control every application, but to give everyone working with it a clear framework so they can create with confidence and freedom.
When a growing brand outpaces its website, a new coat of paint isn't enough.
Go Store It Self Storage needed a digital platform that could support a rapidly expanding national footprint, create a smoother path for customers renting storage online, and give the internal team more control over day-to-day updates.
LIMB designed and developed a fully custom CMS ecosystem built around their operational needs, including:
• A custom modular theme designed for flexibility and long-term scalability.
• Streamlined location architecture to preserve SEO and complement ad campaigns.
• Dynamic filtering for locations, cities, states, and amenities that moves users from browsing to booking.
• Google Maps and Places API integrations for a modern search experience.
The result were significant. Active website users more than doubled:
🚀 373,000 in 2024 to 792,000 in 2025.
Customers can now find the right location faster. The Go Store It team can manage content, create new pages, and launch individual locations without relying on a developer.

There’s something about back-to-school season that makes change feel especially tangible.
Companies feel it, too. A new season seems to demand new messaging or new processes. Newness is exciting, and excitement can feel like progress.
But change brings both excitement and anxiety, which creates a sense of urgency.
Urgency absolutely wrecks strategy.
A company is a complex ecosystem of people, and change forces those people to move with it. Good planning gives everyone a clear sense of where the company is headed, what will be different, and what will remain. When people understand the change, they can move through it together with no one left behind.
When change is in the air and tinged with urgency, take it as a signal to get curious first. Gather data, listen to feedback, and take stock.

Everyone wants to work faster, but sometimes that just makes more work.
When the decisions underneath the work aren’t settled, speed results in another round of stakeholder feedback or a project that somehow keeps starting over.
Good strategy is what makes speed possible.
In our latest Elephant in the Room, we look at the cost of false speed, why AI makes judgment even more valuable, and what it actually takes to move fast without creating faster confusion.
Read all about it at the link in our bio.

A logo is very easy to blame.
It sits right there on your website, your proposals, your sign, your social media profile, your conference booth, and your email signature.
So when a brand starts to feel a little “off,” the logo is usually the first suspect.
Sometimes, it really does need to change.
But sometimes the logo is just taking the heat for a bigger issue: unclear positioning, scattered messaging, misaligned leadership, too many audiences, or a brand that has outgrown the decisions underneath it.
A fresh mark can do a lot. But, cannot make the hard decisions for you.
The best rebrands often begin with an intentional question: What are we finally ready to make clear?

Meet Mira
Mira is wise, resilient, and quietly powerful. She is a symbol of memory, wisdom, and strategic nerve: the one who carries the weight of what has been learned, notices what others miss, and gives form to the truths that often sit just outside the conversation.
Her name carries meaning across cultures. In Latin, Mira is connected to wonder and admiration. In Slavic languages, it is associated with peace. In Sanskrit, Mira can be connected to the ocean: vast, deep, and always in motion. That range feels right for LIMB: we have the history, heart, depth, and the discipline to keep moving forward without losing what matters.
She is the spirit of our new blog we call The Elephant in the Room: candid, considered, creative, and quietly bold. Mira helps us say the thing with care, clarity, and just enough nerve.

We came back from IMPACT with full notebooks, new connections, a few very good stories, and a renewed appreciation for what happens when women-owned businesses are in rooms where decisions are being shaped.
Here are a few takeaways that are still sitting with us:
1. Relationships are still the strategy.
Technology can help us move faster. AI can help us work smarter. But the conversations that matter still happen human to human.
2. Visibility is not the same as readiness.
Being in the room matters. Being ready when the opportunity shows up matters even more.
3. Women-owned businesses are not asking for a seat at the table.
They are building tables, expanding rooms, opening doors, and making sure the next person does not have to start from scratch.
4. Supplier diversity is strongest when it moves from compliance to conviction.
The best conversations were not about checking a box. They were about capability, innovation, partnership, and measurable impact.
5. Color, warmth, and joy belong in business too.
The energy in Salt Lake City was real. So were the mountains, the food, the conversations, and the reminder that business can be ambitious without being cold.
For LIMB, WBENC is part of our story, our community, and our continued belief that women-owned businesses bring something deeply valuable to the marketplace: clarity, creativity, resilience, and a whole lot of getting-it-done energy.
We left grateful.
We also left ready.

We just came back from IMPACT, and one thing is clear: the energy around women-owned businesses is real, but so is the work ahead.
Representing LIMB, Elise DeSilva and Divya Alessi spent the week connecting with corporate partners, fellow WBEs, supplier diversity leaders, and business owners who are building with purpose, resilience, and serious momentum.
For LIMB, attending WBENC IMPACT was more than a conference moment. It was a reminder of what we have believed for a long time: relationships still matter, credibility still compounds, and the best opportunities are built through consistency, trust, and showing up with clarity.
LIMB has been WBENC-certified since 2003, and over the years, that certification has been more than a credential. It has opened doors, deepened relationships, and connected us with organizations that value both creative excellence and supplier diversity.
We left Salt Lake City grateful for the conversations, the introductions, the shared stories, and the reminder that women-owned businesses are not just participating in the economy. We are shaping it.
To everyone we met at WBENC IMPACT, thank you. We look forward to continuing the conversations.
And to the organizations looking for a creative partner who can help make brand, communications, and digital strategy more actionable: we would love to connect.
LIMB is women-owned, WBENC-certified, and built for work that needs strategy, craft, and follow-through.

The Houston Rockets’ refreshed identity makes a compelling case for not reinventing the wheel.
Sometimes the smart move is bringing people back to what they already loved.
The return of red and gold, or ketchup and mustard if you’d rather, connects to Clutch City, the championship era, and a bygone era of Houston basketball that endures in fans' living memory.
But the refresh also raises an interesting brand question: how many ideas can one system hold before they start competing?
Rockets. Space. Nostalgia. Dunkstronaut. Mission patches. Global badges.
The challenge is hierarchy.
A strong identity system gives each element a clear role.
Some pieces anchor the brand, some build emotional connection.
Some create room for campaigns, merch, social, and fan culture.
We’re glad to see the Rockets leaning back into the city, its history, and its most ownable memories.
The next test is whether the system can stay clear, consistent, and unmistakably Rockets.

Back in the spring of 2018, in a wild but delightful series of events, the City of Houston proclaimed May 31st an official LIMB Day.
That year, we celebrated our 35th anniversary. Yesterday, we celebrated 43.
One line from the proclamation still feels especially meaningful to us: “an agency consisting of friends.”
This ethos has guided LIMB since the beginning—through long nights, evolving tech, and a lot of creative problem solving.
Founded in 1983 by Linda LIMB, our studio began as a creative agency rooted in design, strategy, and community. Over the years, the tools and industries surrounding our profession have changed dramatically. The heart behind it hasn’t.
We’re proud of what we’ve built over the last 43 years, but even more grateful for the people who trusted us to build it alongside them.
Thank you, Houston. 🤍
