This was his first purchase with LVK. 🤝

He found us online and came through for the Jordan 4 Brick by Brick. During the meetup we got to talking about sneakers, what he’d been paying through some of the bigger resale platforms, and some of the pairs he was looking for next.

He told us straight up — if we could get what he needed at a fair price, he’d rather come to us.

At the time, it was just a conversation.

Since then, he’s been back. 👀

This is the part of the business we enjoy the most — building relationships that go beyond one transaction.

This week’s Weekly Sneaker Fix had me thinking about what actually creates value in sneakers.

🌍 Our Jordan 4 Londons finally arrived from Europe—but after retail, fees and import duties, we ended up around $360 into the pair.

🟤 Meanwhile, we hit the Mowalola Jordan 14 locally at TBG and walked out around $276.

🔵 And now we’ve got an early pair of the Nike Caitlin 1 “Caitlin Blue” in hand before its release.

Then there’s Travis Scott. Take a familiar Jordan 1 concept, add the collaborator, flip the Swoosh, and suddenly the conversation around demand can look completely different.

That’s what made me ask:

What are we actually paying for?

Access? Scarcity? The collaborator? The story?

Because sometimes the sneaker itself isn’t the only thing creating the value.

The sneaker might be the product—but perception creates the value.

Me & Pops both caught the W on the Mowalola x Jordan 14s at The Better Generation here in Houston. 🤝

Nothing crazy—just pulled up, grabbed our pairs and ended up having a good conversation about the shoes. Even the officers had to check them out 😂 That box definitely got everybody’s attention.
