PVAMU NAA - Houston Chapter

🚨 WAKE UP! 🚨

It’s 10:00 AM and class is officially in session. 🎓🔥

This ain’t your ordinary school day. Prairie View A&M, Southern University and Krewe of Porus Social Aid & Pleasure Club are coming together for the SCHOOL DAZE Joint Tailgate Experience. 💜💛💙💛

Two HBCUs. Two proud traditions. One BIG tailgate.

And here’s the best part: the tailgate is FREE , but attendance is not automatic. 👀

🎟️ You MUST RSVP to attend.
No RSVP? You might be marked absent. 😂

So when you hear Dap say “WAKE UP!”… consider that your alarm. ⏰

PV takes down Grambling 21–14 and makes it 8 wins in the last 9 meetings.

Different year. Same message.
The Panthers came to handle business.

On to the next!

Dallas has been the meeting place for generations of Panthers and Tigers, and every year this matchup brings its own story.

The names change. The uniforms evolve. The stakes shift. But when PV and Grambling meet, history is always in the building.

This one feels like another chapter worth watching closely.

Panthers. Tigers. What’s your call?

More than six decades after earning his degree from Prairie View A&M, Wilbur McConico ’61 is still showing up for his university. You can regularly find him in the stands supporting PVAMU football and basketball, continuing a connection to Prairie View that has lasted a lifetime.

That kind of loyalty deserves to be recognized while our legends are still here to receive it.

So if you spot Mr. McConico at an event, take a second to introduce yourself, shake his hand, and say hello. Ask him about Prairie View in 1961. Ask him what has changed. Better yet, just listen.

Our alumni history isn’t only stored in yearbooks and archives. Sometimes it’s sitting a few rows away from you.

Thank you, Mr. McConico, for continuing to show up for PV. 💜💛

Stay Connected. Stay Involved.

A special thank you to the PVAMU alumni owners of BURIED SEEDS W**E BAR W**e Bar for welcoming the PVAMU National Alumni Association – Houston Chapter and hosting our Membership Drive Happy Hour.

Your hospitality gave us a space to connect, fellowship, welcome new faces, and strengthen the bond between our alumni community and PV alumni-owned businesses.

We want to personally thank our hosts D. Jackson (DJ) and Sir Ashton Holmes ‘20 for supporting the chapter and helping make the evening possible.

This is how we continue to build — through relationships, support, and alumni investing in alumni.

Stay Connected. Stay Involved. 💜💛

Rivalry handled.
Reality check received.
Now it’s time to bounce back. 🏈

After taking care of TSU and a tough trip to Waco, the Panthers return home with another challenge waiting….

Stephen F. Austin.

And there’s a little history here, too: the last time these two programs met, PV walked away with a 56–48 win in 2013.

Different year. Different teams. Same question:
