GOVERNOR UMO ENO RECEIVES MBOHO MKPARAWA IBIBIO INT’L PRESIDENT ON VALEDICTORY VISIT

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has commended the 11th International President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Akparawa James Edet, NPOM, for his purposeful leadership and remarkable contributions to the growth, unity and global advancement of the foremost Ibibio socio-cultural organisation.

The Governor gave the commendation on Friday when the International President led members of the International Executive Council of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio on a valedictory courtesy visit to Government House, Uyo, to formally appreciate the Governor’s support and partnership with the organisation throughout his four-year tenure which comes full cycle officially on Friday July, 24th

Governor Eno described Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio as a strong voice for the Ibibio nation and a veritable platform for promoting peace, unity and development in Akwa Ibom State. He commended the organisation for fostering harmonious relationships among the ethnic nationalities of the State and urged it to sustain its advocacy for socio-cultural tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Speaking during the visit, Akparawa James Edet thanked the Governor for his unwavering support, encouragement and cordial relationship with Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio throughout his tenure as International President.

He reflected on the significant milestones recorded by the organisation under his leadership and commended the Governor’s developmental strides under the ARISE Agenda, describing the administration as visionary, compassionate and people-centred. He reaffirmed Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio’s commitment to promoting peace, unity and the continued progress of Akwa Ibom State, while also reaffirming the organisation’s support for Governor Umo Eno and its commitment to stand by him through the completion of his second term in office.

Governor Eno congratulated Akparawa James Edet on the successful completion of his tenure and wished the incoming International President, Akparawa IniAbasi Ekanem, a successful and impactful administration.

Present at the meeting were the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah; Executive Assistant/Chief Delivery Advisor to the Governor, Mr. Aniefiok Johnson; Commissioner for Works, Prof. Eno Ibanga; Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs. Inibehe Silas; Special Adviser on Political and Social Re-Orientation, Barr. Kufre Effiong Udosen; Political Adviser to the Governor, Akparawa Godwin Ntuk Udeh; Past International Presidents of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Akparawa Okon Imerh, Akparawa Sylvester Akpan and Akparawa Nse Ubeh; members of the International Executive Council of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio; and other senior government officials.
