TANK Space

TANK Space is a small experimental art space in the Spring Street Studios building dedicated as an installation space for visual artists. The gallery typically schedules one and two-month installations. TANK Space is organized and curated by Grace Zuñiga. TANK Space took over the former Microscope Gallery at Spring Street Studios. The space was built out of a hallway for a FOTOFest exhibit’s video presentation. Microscope added a window and a door with a second window. The name Microscope reflected the small size of the space, at just 108 square feet. Renamed TANK Space in early 2014, to reflect the sense of looking into a large tank through the window akin to visiting an aquarium, and to focus on installation art and artists being able to experiment in the space.
