The scullery is one of the most requested spaces we’re seeing right now, and it’s easy to understand why once you’ve had one.
It lives right off the kitchen — a second sink, a second refrigerator, counter space, upper cabinets. When you’re hosting, the mess stays out of sight. When groceries come in, they have somewhere to land. When the kitchen needs to look like a kitchen again, everything has a place to go.
It’s one of those additions that doesn’t feel like a luxury until you have it, but once you do, it just feels like the house was designed to actually be used.

There’s a version of this window detail that costs less and looks basically the same on day one, but we don’t use it.
The difference shows up in year eight, when one window still performs and the other one doesn’t. Our clients rarely see that moment. And that’s the whole point.

Hunter’s background is in event planning. Large-scale, high-stakes, a hundred moving parts, zero margin for a bad day.
Turns out that’s excellent preparation for managing a custom home build. Budgets, timelines, architects, designers, vendors… she runs all of it as our Senior Project Coordinator.
Our clients don’t feel the complexity of their projects because Hunter has it all mapped out and handled for them.

We also know exactly what it takes to make one perform in a Houston summer. We’re talking about the flashing, the drainage, the membrane underneath, and more. Looking right and performing right aren’t the same conversation, and both matter.

Houston humidity is not forgiving. Wood moves and gaps open up in places that looked perfect on day one.
We build with that in mind from the start. The materials we spec, the way we detail transitions and the products we won’t use regardless of how they look in a showroom all come into play.
A home should still feel right in year twelve.

Every spring, someone on our team drives past a home we finished a few years back. We notice the landscaping has grown in, the lights are on, there’s a car in the driveway.
The house has become a home. Those may feel like small things, but we know that all together, they make up the whole thing.
