Ice Cold Ice was established in 1991 in Houston, Texas, by Peter Stone.

Peter’s family history in the ice business goes back to the early 1940s, when his grandfather operated an ice business in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, called Leaman’s Swifts Beach Ice Service. His slogan was “Ice Cold Ice,” which is where our company name comes from.

In 1988, Peter began working for an ice company in Houston called The Ice Connection. He knew right away that he had found a career he wanted to excel in. When the opportunity came to get his own truck and start his own business, Peter took the chance and founded Ice Cold Ice in 1991. Later, he went on to purchase The Ice Connection, the same company where his career in the Houston ice industry began.

In 2017, Ice Cold Ice expanded into bottled water and the hydration business, allowing us to better serve our customers with both ice and water products.

Today, Ice Cold Ice is a family-run business operated by Peter and his wife, Karen Stone, along with their son, Ryan Stone. More than 35 years after Peter first entered the ice business, his passion for the industry remains just as strong.

From a family connection to the ice business dating back to the 1940s to serving Houston today, we’re proud of where we came from and grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey.
