Week 3 with Bruce: apparently we live in his house now.

He’s officially learned the routine, claimed multiple sleeping locations, walks 2–3 miles a day like he’s training for something, and supervises absolutely everything we do — including following me into the bathroom and laying on the floor while I p**p.

Separation training is getting better. The whining and pacing when we leave has gone from 30–40 minutes to about 10–15 before he settles down by the door and waits for us.

He’s smart. He’s weird. He’s incredibly attached to us.

Three weeks ago he was living with his foster family after being found on the street.

Now he sleeps under the covers and monitors my bowel movements.

Quite the promotion. 😂

Week 3 with Bruce. 🐾

Week two with Bruce: the Chihuahua-Lab-Minature Pinscher something mix has chosen violence.

This week we had three spontaneous baths because he rolled in another animal’s p**p, encountered a possum, and killed a squirrel. He also destroyed three pairs of shoes and a MacBook cable, bathed in the sun, slept under the covers, and continued our campaign to never let Mom or Dad out of our sight.

Two weeks in and his personality is REALLY starting to show.

Bruce is sweet. Bruce is cuddly. Bruce is apparently also a tiny apex predator.

One week with Bruce and we’ve learned one thing: this little dude just wants to be wherever we are.

He’s brought so much joy to our home — already visiting 93Q Country to meet our work fam, getting a much-needed nail trim, and crushing his first vet visit at Thrive Pet Healthcare, all completely calm and chill.

He’s adapting incredibly well. Now we’re just working on a little separation training because Bruce would happily be attached to us 24/7.
