💜 Walking for a Cause! 💜

J.J. Lewis and Nicole Matthews-Creech are representing the Howell Rotary Club today at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s!

We’re cheering them on as they walk to raise awareness, support families affected by Alzheimer’s, and help bring us one step closer to a world without this disease.

Our fundraising goal is $1,000!

Help us cross the finish line! Whether you come out to cheer on JJ and Nicole or make a donation, every bit of support makes a difference. 💜

💙 Getting to Know Our Fellow Rotarians! 💛

Last week, we had the pleasure of hearing from fellow Rotarian Haley Curd! Haley shared a little about her professional journey and what led her to her current role with the Howell Chamber of Commerce, along with some fun glimpses into her family and love of travel.

One of the best parts of Rotary is getting to know the people who make up our club and the many ways they’re connected to our community.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Haley! We’re so glad to have you as part of Howell Rotary! 💙💛

We’re excited to support Howell High School Construction students as they put their skills to work building a new storage shed for Livingston County United Way.

Howell Rotary will match community donations dollar for dollar, up to $750, to help provide the materials these students need to bring the project to life.

A big thank you to the Howell Education Foundation, Howell Public School District, and Livingston County United Way for partnering to make this opportunity possible for the students.

What a great opportunity for our students to learn, build, and give back to their community! 💙💛

Investing in students today. Transforming our community tomorrow.

Your Gift Goes Twice as Far!
The Rotary Club of Howell will match community donations dollar for dollar, up to $750, toward the cost of materials for the project.

Every gift will help purchase the materials students need to complete the project and provide Livingston County United Way with a safe, functional storage space for years to come.

Thank you to Joe and his team from Love For A Child for joining us at last week’s Howell Rotary meeting! We loved hearing more about the meaningful work they are doing to support foster children and families across Michigan. We’re grateful for everything they do for kids in our communities and for taking the time to share their mission with us!

🍈 One Final Melon Ice Cream Thank You! 🍦

As we wrap up another successful year of Howell Rotary’s Melon Ice Cream fundraiser, we want to give a huge THANK YOU to Howell Recreation and Frontal Lobe Coworking!

Each year, Howell Recreation allows us to sell our famous Melon Ice Cream on the beautiful historic courthouse lawn during the Howell Melon Festival. Their team puts together an incredible festival for our community and provides us with the opportunity to make this important fundraiser happen. We truly couldn’t do it without their support!

A big thank you also goes to Frontal Lobe, who graciously allows us to utilize their space throughout festival weekend to store our supplies and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Having a convenient home base right downtown is an instrumental part of making our fundraiser successful.

It truly takes a community to make Melon Ice Cream happen each year, and we are so grateful to Howell Recreation and Frontal Lobe for being part of ours. 💙🍈

Thank you for supporting Howell Rotary and helping us continue to give back to our community!

🎉 Welcome, New Rotarian! 🎉
Please join us in welcoming Amy Johnston, the newest member of the Rotary Club of Howell!

About Amy
As Senior Director of Housing with Community Catalysts, Amy is passionate about strengthening our community and improving the quality of life for those who call Livingston County home.
A Livingston County native, Amy and her husband, Jim, have called Brighton home for the past 17 years, where they’ve raised their children, Jesse and Annalise. For Amy, serving the community is something the whole family values, making Rotary a natural extension of that commitment.

A few fun facts:
💚 Amy is a proud Fowlerville High School graduate — a Livingston County gal through and through!
❤️ Community service is a family affair for Amy and her family, who enjoy finding ways to give back together.
🏓⛳ She’s been learning to play pickleball and golf — adding a couple of new adventures to the mix!
Whether through her work, alongside her family, or now as a Rotarian, Amy brings a genuine desire to help make Livingston County an even better place to live, work, and call home.
We’re thrilled to welcome Amy to our growing group of Rotarians, all working together to do more good in our community and beyond.
Help us welcome the newest Rotarian in the world! 💙💛

At last week’s meeting we had the pleasure of hearing from our new club member, Jessica Soley. Jessica shared about her professional career that led her to Farm Bureau Insurance. She also shared about her wonderful family. Welcome again to the Club, Jessica.

Another HUGE thank you to Jonna's Market! 🍈🍦💙💛

Howell Melon Festival weekend just wouldn’t be the same without our friends at Jonna’s Market!

Each year, Jonna’s graciously helps us bring Howell Melon Ice Cream to even more of our community by selling our family-size containers at their locations during festival weekend.

We are so grateful for their continued partnership and for the amazing Jonna’s staff who help make everything run smoothly each year. Their support of Howell Rotary and this special community tradition means so much to us!

Thank you, Jonna’s Market, for being such an important part of Howell Melon Ice Cream and helping us make festival weekend a little sweeter! 🍈🍦

A HUGE thank you to the Howell Public School District! 🍈🍦💙💛

There is so much that happens behind the scenes to make Howell Melon Ice Cream possible each year, and Howell Public Schools plays a big part in making it all happen!

Each year, the district generously provides space for us to store our ice cream and allows us to use their kitchen facilities for our big ice cream scooping day in partnership with the Livingston County United Way Day of Caring. They even provide staff who help us throughout the process!

From providing the space we need to lending a helping hand, their support is invaluable. Without the time, generosity, and partnership of Howell Public Schools, this fundraiser simply wouldn’t be possible.

Thank you, Howell Public Schools, for continuing to support Howell Rotary and helping us bring this sweet tradition of Howell Melon Ice Cream to our community year after year! 🍈🍦
